Yolanda Horace-Crockett, 41, a teacher at North Garland High School in Garland, Texas has been arrested on allegations of having an improper relationship with a student.
It is alleged that Horace-Crockett had a sexual relationship with a male student who is under 17 years old.
Horace-Crockett was arrested today and was reportedly being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The school web site indicates that Horace-Crockett has been a teacher at North Garland High School since 2001.
If convicted, Horace-Crockett could face from two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
03/20/09 – Yolanda Horace-Crockett Arrested Again
Yolanda Horace-Crockett has been arrested a second time on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a student.
Horace-Crockett, who was free on bail after her first arrest was arrested the second time on Thursday.
Details of the second alleged illicit relationship are not immediately available, however police indicated that the second alleged victim was also a 16-year-old male.
As of late Thursday, Horace-Crockett was in the Garland city jail, held in lieu of $25,000 bail. On Friday media reports indicate she is now free on bail again.

Had her for English i believe in 2003 or 2004…she was a real easy teacher…i guess in more ways than one…but I’ve been knowing those rumors since 2002…been at NG from 01-05…all i know is if she did it…they weren’t the only ones…but rumors are rumors && facts are facts…hopefully, those allegations are proven…I’m all for justice, but totally against persecution of the innocent.

SHE WAS MY SPEECH TEACHER IN 2005 AND SHE WAS ONE CRANKY LADY….EXCEPT TO THOSE FOOTBALL PLAYERS SHE WAS BANGIN’! SHE DESERVES THIS. IM GLAD THEY FINALLY CAUGHT HER. I graduated from North Garland in 2007, and I always heard the rumors about Horace-Crockett. I now live in Kansas City, and it is amazing how information can fly to me up here. I was an AIDE for 2 years for Mrs. Witt, and I could always tell Horace-Crockett was looking at me. It insults me that I didn’t get approached….not. Of course by the time I noticed she was looking I was 18. I guess that was too legal for her.
If the allegations are true, she will get what she deserves. But in the meantime, you little kids better hit the books because some of you REALLY do have bad grammar. I know I used to grade your papers.
I had for a class sophomore year and i knew all the (Deleted by site moderator) she was doing, those 16 yr old kids are on my football team, anyways she got what she deserved. even though her class was a blowoff class

That’s crazy, this woman was my teacher for 2 years and this (Deleted by site moderator) has gotta be stupid. WTF did you thank you were not gonna get caught? No one deserves to go to jail but in cases like this, ya you deserve to sit in there with all the rest of them. Maybe you will be lucky and go to the psych ward. OKAY…LETS CLEAR SOME THINGS UP HERE…FIRST OF ALL, WE ARE NOT AWARE OF ALL OF THE DETAILS, HOWEVER IF IN FACT THE LAW STATES THAT 17 IS THE AGE OF CONSENT, THEN THE POLICE COULD NOT HAVE ARRESTED HER ON THAT CHARGE. My homeboy dated her for a while about 3 years ago, I had another homeboy who coached in GISD and he gave me the heads up. I told my boy about it and at first he didnt believe it but I think after a while the clues started to pop up. I heard back in 2002 she had a student who stayed with her too. crazy
