William Milham, 36, reportedly a history teacher and a social studies teacher at Skaneateles High School, in Skaneateles, New York has been arrested on charges alleging he had a sexual relationship with a former student.
Milham has been arrested on charges of criminal sex act in the 3rd degree and endangering the welfare of a child for an an alleged sexual relationship that happened five years ago when the student was in high school.
It is alleged that Milham had sexual relations with a then 15-year-old female student on three separate occasions at Skaneateles High School back in the fall of 2002.
According to a school spokesperson, Milham has been suspended with pay and benefits from his teaching duties and involvement in school district activities pending further action by law enforcement authority.
Reportedly Milham pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Department on $25,000 bail.
3/27/08 - Guilty Plea
William Milham has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of third-degree criminal sex.
As a result of Milham’s guilty plea the judge promised Milham a sentence of no worse than shock probation, which would include 10 years probation and six months in jail.
Formal sentencing is set for May 22.
05/23/08 - Sentencing
William Milham was sentenced today in Onondaga County Court to six months in county jail and 10 years probation.
Milham will be required to surrender his teacher’s license.
The prosecution expressed disappointment that Milham did not receive any prison time but expressed thanks that he was not let off with a lighter sentence.

Milham was a way better teacher than most of the rest of Skaneateles’ education system. It’s too bad you all decide to pass judgement before you know anything about the ‘victim’.
Or didn’t we learn anything from Duke? GG idiots.

i graduated from skaneateles high school, and i had mr. milham as a teacher. he would never do something like this, he would never even think about doing something like this. he is a great teacher and an even better person. i will give him all the help and support i can.

it is not hilarious.. i go to that school and its absolutely awful. I dont know how someone taking advantage of a fifteen year old girl is funny.
