William Boulanger, 58, a social studies teacher at Southington High School, in Southington Connecticut has been charged with the sexual assault of a minor.

Boulanger was arrested on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree unlawful restraint. The charges are the result of an alleged incident in July.
Police say that the alleged victim is not a student at the school.
Boulanger turned himself in to police earlier this month upon learning of a warrant issued for his arrest.
Boulanger is free on $10,000 bond
He was placed on administrative leave with pay prior to the start of the current school year.
Reportedly details of the case have been sealed by the court.

and it doesn’t mean it was……
Minor mean anything from birth to 17yrs old.
Again …..where has anything be written to justify this? What has the press said that leads anyone to think otherwise.
Does Mr. Boulanger just have interactions with teenagers? Just because he teaches high school? He never comes in contact with younger children?
The whole point is that the records have been sealed!!!!!!
If it were in the news paper I could understand the comments.
But it wasn’t!
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that some statements from people have come from informformation told to them.
Dear “The details have been sealed by the court” ,
their only assuming that it was a teenager because mr. b taught highschoolers. even though it wasnt a student that doesnt mean it wasnt a teenager. Theres no need to get mad at other people. EVEN though a court seals evidence that doesnt mean the press isnt going to find it any way so theres no need to flip out. Besides i really dont think Mr. B could’ve done this. But still please dont become angry at other people for their assumptions

The Court odered the details sealed!!~~
How does anyone get”Teenager” out of what has been reported in the papers.
Concerned Citizen has definately been given details of the accusations. We all can believe your have been fed by the Boulangers.
The child is suppose to be protected their family. Now there is a post by someone who has heard details from the victims side.
All of you should go to jail.
You are in contempt and you absoultely have mine.
I can’t believe the trial has begun and no one has entered the court room yet.
Leave it for the damn court room.
Both sides should be following the court order that the details be SEALED . Neither side has my compasion. You adults are responsible for protecting the child!!!!! The paper said this did not happen at school and it was a minor. How the hell did anyone get it was a teenager out of what has been reported?I don’t care what “Concerned Citizen” says it is obvious by how he writes that he has been given details from the Boulangers. You “all” should be put on jail for comtempt. You certainly have mine.
All I’ve got to say is I’m shocked. I’ve heard the details of what happened here from someone close to the situation. Its appalling what has been accused. Just wait until the details of what he was arrested for comes out. I cannot believe this. I was a student of his and friends with his family, and hearing about the arrest made me a bit upset, and i didn’t believe it. Hearing about what happened though is disgusting, and it seems to be true. I don’t know anything, and he is innocent until proven guilty, all I know is what I’ve been told, and its outrageous. I hope it isn’t true, as there is a victim here, and if he’s guilty, Bill Boulanger isn’t it.
wow the fact that he “turned himself in” doesn’t mean he’s guilty it could mean he’s just a law abiding citizen and having a warrant for his arrest did the right thing and brought himself to the authorities. Mr. B was an amazing teacher a great man and i refuse to believe he’s guilty. so why don’t YOU grow up and realize the worlds not all gone to hell that there are still good people and unfortunately get wrongfully accused
I just Want to know wat happened. Mr.B was my teacher last year he seemed like such a great guy. I want to support him as much as i can but i dont want these accusations to be true. I really hope they arent. i remember that at the end of the year Mr. B seemed to be really scatter brained because his father died and i hope that this isnt true. Mr. B told us so much about him that u start to feel for him. One awkward thing he did was give out his home phone number. But no matter wat its impossible for me to believe that this could actually happen in our town.

George, isn’t that point! The accuser does not have to be known (which is right), but why should the accused be known until there is proof of anything. People assume all teachers are guilty and all victims are telling the truth. If it is proven false, the accused gets a retraction on the back page, a lost reputation in a profession based on reputation, and huge legal fees. The victim in our country does not have to pay the legal fees, thus we are more likely to attract fake accusations. For everyone involved, I hope it is just a false accusation. Maybe it is true. My gut is it is not, but either way this guy’s life is ruined. If it is true, the victims life is ruined. If it is not true, is the accusers life really ruined? As for your comment about Bill talking, that is just the point, he can’t even talk to defend himself, legally. Of course his past does not make him %100 innocent, but it does go along way. By contrast, would any human being alive, older than 20, be surprised to find out teenagers are prone to lie? (Not saying this one is, just stating why people ought to give this man a real chance to prove his innocence).
No one know what another person has experienced. How can you stand there and say it was because they were lazy in class? Do you know this as fact? Maybe their feelings are justified.
To Concerned Citizen:
Have you spoken to the child personally? You speak so absolute. No one should even knows who the child is. How do you know this child is confused? How do you know that they are looking for attention? How do you even know if they are telling the truth or not.The details of this case are supposed to be sealed! Who have you been speaking to? Mr.Boulanger or his family?
The police are not going to take these accusations lightly. Mr. Boulanger, as you have said. is a pillar in the community and respected by many. When a man’s reputation and livelyhood are on the line the police aren’t going to put out a warrant without thinking they can get a conviction.
I am glad that “Bill” has support and people believe in him but how can you be so sure what you believe is true? Lets wait and see. Remember there may be a victim on the flip side. If this did happen isn’t that person life going to ruined too? I don’t believe a child ever asked to be molested. Just because a person is a good teacher or a role model doesn’t make him exempt from the possiblities of these accusations. He isn’t perfect and suffers from the same thing the rest of us do… he is human.
Yo (Deleted by site moderator), first of all, just because he didn’t spell “peers” right, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to spell it. It can be a typo. Secondly, Mr. B turned himself in because he learned about the warrant of issue, not because he was guilty. (Deleted by site moderator) your little assumptions are wrong. Mr. B is really a good teacher. I have him for 2 years as an English teacher, and he taught me a lot. Sure, there’s some people who doesn’t love him, but that’s because they are lazy, who don’t do their school work. So before you make any assumption, get your head straight first. It’s you that needs to grow up!!

Unfortunately the person above me never had Mr. Boulanger as a teacher. I had him twice in middle school and then as a “principal” he was always a creep-o then. I would never blame a minor for something and thats shameful to take the side of the teacher that you have no idea what he does in his free time. Not all of his students and PEERS(see, i learned how to spell in high school) loved him, I know many who don’t. Pure fact that he turned himself in suggests that he feels guilty of something and a person can not be charged without some form of evidence. Good luck in life, grow up, and open your eyes to the world.
William Boulanger has been a teacher for 30 years. He is loved by all of his students and piers. Some confused minor made a story up to gather attention. It is sad to see a dedicated man like Bill face such harsh accusations. I feel sorry for this confused minor and hope he/she admits the truth soon. If not we will lose a great teacher and role-model to our minors not to mention an innocent man will go to jail!
