Wendie Estrada Fernandez, 45, a fifth-grade teacher at Corona Ranch Elementary School in Corona, California has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a minor.
It is alleged that Fernandez unlawfully had sexual intercourse and oral sex with a 17-year-old boy in the Corona-Norco Unified School District.
Reportedly Fernandez knew the boy through someone in her family.
Following her arrest, Fernandez was released after posting $25,000 bail.
Reportedly Fernandez has been placed on administrative leave by the school system.
The Coronal Police Department asks that anyone with information to contact them at 951-736-2330.
