Webb David Rieder, 32, a classroom aid at Valley Forge Elementary School in Columbus, Ohio has been arrested and charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a juvenile.
The arrest of Rieder is the result of an investigation which began in July when police detected someone distributing child pornography via the Internet. Police say that the someone was Rieder and that they downloaded a file that contained a move of “preteen boys engaged in sexual activity”.
Earlier this week police executed a search warrant at Rieder’s residence and seized two computers and over 100 CD’s and DVD’s.
Investigators do not believe that any local children were victimized in the child pornography or that Rieder had molested any children at the school.
Following his arrest Rieder was being held in the Franklin County Jail and investigators say that additional charges were pending the outcome of the investigation.

The cops didnt bust anything and if anyone is dumb enough to believe the news then well thats their shortcoming.
The man lost his job and will never again be able to work at a school.
They found 100 CD’s and DVD’s how stpid they sell DVD and CD’s in 100 packs at a discounted Rate.
Yes he shouldnt have been looking questionable Pornography, but people make bad choices and just because he made a bad choice involving possible child porn (Let the facts prove everything before assuming the news is correct especially because they make their money off of misery).
Two Computers right ok, so that was probably a laptop and a desktop, so does that mean anyone with a desktop and a laptop with a bunch of CD’s and DVD’s is a possible candidate for pandering kiddy porn well once again if anyone believes that well they are the pinnacle of the average stupid American.
If he was caught Red handed then how come he still has not been convicted and why does it keep getting held up???? Thats because they dont have any true proof its probably some questionable porn where the people in it might be under 18.
So for all those people who are computer illiterate and end up downloading or opening up a sick fetish porn site should be charged, and the fact that P2P programs automatically share anything downloaded hmmmmm.
The bottom line is that Adult Entertainment Online is risky and can lead to trouble, so lets all persecute people who look at porn right LOL.
I’ve know David for about 10 years and I have never seen any thing that would suggest he was doing anything improper. I think he should be considered innocent until the FACTS prove otherwise, which I don’t believe they will. He seems to be a decent guy who may have been looking at internet sites that he shouldn’t have. Give him a break until the facts are in!
The police did the right thing by making an arrest – they had proof, not just someone’s statement. Busted…
This is a good case, the guy got caught red handed. Depending on the number of pictures and/or movies he is facing a life time in jail, plus no bail has been set yet.
As a fellow soccer official in Central Ohio, I have known Dave for over ten years. I always thought he was strange and arrogant, but a soft-spoken, very private gentleman. This completely blows me away! Ah, the secret lives people live. I know about innocent until proven guilty, but good luck on this one!
