(07/16/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Virginia Isabel Cammack, 35, a former math and geometry teacher at Morton Ranch High School, in Katy, Texas has been arrested on allegations that she had an improper relationship with a 17-year-old male student.
It is alleged that around Valentine’s Day that the student went to Cammack’s residence to download music from a computer and that Cammack and the student had sex.
Reportedly the boy told investigators that when he went past her, they kissed. The student says he carried her to bed, where they had sex. He says Cammack told him she had a feeling for him that she could not explain.
Cammack came to the attention of authorities when the mother of another student saw the pair outside Cammack’s apartment and contact school officials anonymously.
Following her arrest Cammack was released on $20,000 bond.
Cammack has resigned her teaching position at the school.
Today Cammack made a court appearance and was prohibited from contacting the boy.
02/03/09 – Plea Deal Made
According to KHOU, the attorney’s for Virginia Cammack reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in her case.
Reportedly terms of the plea deal will be announced Wednesday.

For those hanging the kid, remember he did not come forward with this charge; he didn’t report this. Police went to him after the report was made to them. Their investigation led them to him; that is, they interviewed people and their statements led them to him. Get it. They believed there was enough testimonial corroboration to charge her; if it was inconclusive, they wouldn’t have moved forward. Get it Short Horns – other people had information implicating Mrs. Cammack. If he is lying, one way or another, as a 17 yr old, he would be guilty of aggravated perjury – 3rd degree felony. He knew they had followed an information trail to him. Do you know of any 17 yr old who would risk a felony for a joke? Think about it. He’s just like you. You say “You’d hit it” and so did he but he just didn’t expect the cops to show up at his door! Would you take the risk of a felony for doing nothing wrong?
Nico, a child calls a parent reporting inappropriate contact between a student and teacher a tattle-tale; in fact, only a child uses the word tattle-tale. Parents say ‘Thank goodness’. Don, parents don’t want to send their kids to school worrying that ‘Teach’ wants to hook up with their kid. Kids may like the cool teacher who hangs with her students and stuff but most adults understand the importance of behaving like an adult and respecting behavioural boundaries. Seems like alot of you teens on here really liked her as a teacher or friend of the family or whatever. That’s all good. “She was cool” and “she was nice” and “she was hot” and “she went to church” don’t really constitute evidence even though they may all be true. Obviously some of you are so very close to the accused, that you really can’t step back objectivly. Nonetheless, if you have an real evidence I would urge you to come forward to the police (just remember fabricating could pin a perjury collar on you). No doubt, the sooner life can move on the better for all parties involved.
I wish I had had teachers like this to treat me inapropriatly back in high school. That would have been sweet. She’s smokin hot!! Poor woman. No one was hurt in this incident. Everyone just needs to chill!

MRS CAMMACK WAS A GREAT TEACHER, BUT I KNOW STUDENTS WOULD MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT HER AND SHE WOULDNT SAY ANYTHING, WHICH DOES LOOK FISHY. GUYS WOULD FLIRT WITH HER AND SHE WOULDNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HOW INAPROPRIATE THAT WAS SO, IN A WAY ITS ON HER
The kids a liar. When i was a Sophomore i had her as my math teacher (now i’m graduated). She was a great teacher. and would never make any type of hint that she would go for a student. I don’t want to see her go down for something that isn’t true.

A woman saw the pair outside and she called DA Police. That woman ought to be ashamed of herself for calling the 50 because she saw something. You just ruined this kids college career. This ain’t nothing but a he said she said and congrats to the boy IF. He’s only less than a year off from going to Iraq if he chooses. Karma
I went to Morton Ranch High School and I knew Mrs. Cammack. She was a good,religious, and humble person who would never do something like that. I witnessed immature teenagers make inappropriate remarks to her. She is pretty woman, and students would always try flirting with her but she would always ignore them. The student is lying, it is easy to accuse someone of doing that. Kids these days are immature and would do anything or attention. She was like a mentor to me and many of friends. She is a great person and is innocent.

We’re personal friends of the family, Virginia and her 4 kids! She’s taken care of them for the last three years, by herself, while the husband has been away to school. All of this can be proven, not just gossip! Her family is extremely religious. I can’t see a good mom like this doing something like this and jeopardize her teacher career. Today, the kids do things to get attention, think its cool. Well, I believe the kid went to her apartment and used the computer, but that’s it! As far as the person seeing the kiss, hmmmm!
Did the kid fail in school and want revenge? Could this be a plot from the husband so he can get the kids and avoid child support, alamony! He will be a surgeon, so thats a lot of alamony and child support, so you must have to wonder!
Virginia is a good person, loyal person, and religious person, so I’d like to see proof of this sex! Come on, today the hearsay is really easy! She was a very NICE person, but smart!
