Victoria Blevins, 23, a physical education teacher and assistant girls basketball coach at Monroe High School, in Monroe, New Jersey has charged with sexual assault and official misconduct on allegations of having sex with a female student.
Blevins came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim’s mother discovered an instant message on a computer suggesting that the student and teacher were having “an inappropriate sexual relationship”. The mother notified school officials who in turn notified police.
The student allegedly has told investigators that the sexual relationship between herself and Blevins existed from April through June of this year. Reportedly at the time the alleged victim was under 18-years-old. It is being reported that the sex acts between the two took place at various locations but never at the school.
Blevins is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.
2/08/08 - Not Guilty Plea
Today, an attorney for Victoria Blevins entered a not guilty plea on her behalf on charges of official misconduct and sexual assault.
Blevins was indicted on the charges by a grand jury last week.
Blevins is free on $100,000 bail with no trial date set.
04/17/08 - Plea Deal and Guilty Plea
Victoria Blevins in a plea deal with prosecutors pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment Thursday after the victim in the case recanted.
As part of the plea deal one count of official misconduct and one count of sexual assault were dropped.
The prosecution’s case fell apart when the alleged victim changed her story about the two having sex.
As part of the plea deal Blevins will be required to give up her teaching certificate, however she can eventually reapply for a certificate.
07/18/08 - Sentencing
Victoria Blevins was sentenced today to three years probation for a disorderly persons charge of harassment.
Blevins forfeited her teaching certificate and can never again hold a teaching job in the state.

Seems like we have another female teacher that got off easy. But the part I don’t get is that after so long, she can re apply to teacher again. How insane is that?

Well 10 yrs sounds pretty good to me. I am so sorry for her kids and husband. She’s a very sorry and sad woman.

accused and guilty are two different things.

I believe this is the woman that was featured recently on a documentary called, “Hot for Student.” According to the documentary, Blevins would get her drunk and then molest her.
