Valerie Roesler, 27, reportedly a special education teacher at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Virginia has been arrested after police allegedly caught her in a car with a 15-year-old boy early Sunday morning.
Roesler is reportedly charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and public intoxication.
It is alleged that when police discovered Roesler and the boy in the vehicle, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, that Roesler was drunk.
It is further alleged that the boy snuck out his home without the knowledge of his parents and met Roesler on the parking lot where they were discovered by police.
Police say that the boy is not a student of Roesler’s nor is he a student in the Fairfaix County school system.
Police also say it does not appear that Roesler provided alcohol to the boy and Roesler has not been charged with any sex-related crimes, although the investigation is continuing.
Roesler has reportedly been placed on unpaid leave by the school system.
09/22/09 – Case Update
Reportedly Valerie Roesler has resigned her position with the school.
Police say new evidence suggests Roesler was having a sexual relationship with the boy and that according to a search warrant affidavit, police found text messages suggesting the two were meeting for sex.
Allegedly the investigating officer was able to learn from the minor that during the past several months, Roesler and the minor have been involved in a ‘more intimate relationship.’

u ready for this DAN. if we need to get to this then we do. im in shock that u think its okay to call a woman a slut that u dont know. this girl has suffered this past year with her family life. her mother became sick and her fiance of 4 years cheated. before this, val never took a drink in her life.
The boy had got her number at the school she worked at last year when she left t on her table. (the kids sat at a table instead of desk) she came in late and tossed her bag, coffee and phone on the table.. as she turned to do attendance on the computer, .the kid plugged his number into her phone and saw her number. he began texting her after she left that high school to work elsewhere. she told him to stop with the text, but the kid persisted. this was early june
at first he would text her questions about helping him with homework. she considered going to a school about it, but since she had left the school and wasnt sure what her next school was she thought she could handle it. (by the way I was a witness to this all)
Around late July she realized the boy had developed a crush on her. Over and over again she asked him to get a girlfriend his own age and to not call/ text her. At this point the boy called her in tears freaking out and she was scared. she was afriad to go to the school, b/c she knew she shouldnt have allowed to the boy to text her to begin with. (but like i said…he didnt text her anything bad) This is when she informed me about this and her mother. She saved and showed her monI text from the boy that were very explicit. I watched as she wrote back to him asking him to stop time and time again. valerie’s theroy was that she could handle it herself and wait until the school year began…she figured when the school year began he would naturally find a littel girl his own age. At this point she began trying to “ween” him oher by not responding to his text. If she didnt respond to his text after an hour, she recived 5-6 messages and frantic phone calls from the kid. AGAIN this scared her.
The night she was found with the boy he was blowing up her phone while she was out with friends. She was drinking partically b/c frustrations with this kid. She couldnt go anywhere without him texting her. EVEN if she asked him to stop. Anyway, she finally answered the text from the kid…he sent her a perverted message and she lost it. Thats why the media is saying it looks as if they met up for sex…but they didnt.
She was drunk and went to go see the to talk this out face to face. I agree with you that it was a bad drunken decision….but it wasnt about sex. not at all…. ( i was talking to her on the way to where the kid was) I told her it wasnt a good idea to see him so late at night, but she didnt listen…she was angry and lost her mind over this costant texting and wanted her life back. she was so drunk that evening that she had no concept of time of bad decision….but this girl is not a slut dan. not at all…shes not a drunk tramp and shes not a slut. granted, she shouldve have told the shcol right away….but she was afriad…this is a nice young woman who simply wanted to be a mentor for this kid… before she knew it, he had a crsuh on her. They never had an ongoig relationahip…this took place within a 4 week span ( his crush)) and like i said…she wanted to be kind to the kid and not tell on him. she figured it would all stop when the school year started….BUUT she never touched this kid. The sexual text messages the police found on her phone were from him. Ok? you got the story…yo done? and please dont ever call a woman a slut ever again. Im sure you havent been an angel in your life at all…nobody has.

We would have gotten drunk together, and as the night progressed, we would have made fun of Valerie together. Once again, she could have had the kid’s number blocked, or she could have been an adult and set the boundaries with him, and let him know that at no time should he be sending her sexually charged messages. You make it sound like she was helpless to this kid’s sexting.

If she really wanted the kid to stop texting she could have either completely ignored them (she clearly did not do this) or secondly she could have talked to the kids parents. Phillip, you’re so special to be privy to such sensitive information about this case. You act like this kid and Valerie are CIA operatives, and the kid had top secret confidential microfilm. Valerie was only acting like a drunk to thwart the Russians, and this was the reason for all the subterfuge. This preposterous scenario is more likely to be true than the story Valerie is trying to get people to believe.
This will be my last post about Valerie Phillip, until new information is made available. When the police release the incrementing evidence about this whole tawdry situation Phillip, I’ll be her to goof on Valerie.

Phil – you do realize that accusing the police of harassment is serious business, don’t you? I hope you have evidence to support that claim. Keep in mind, of course, that practically every inch inside a police station/county jail is under constant video surveillance.
The likely reality is that a drunk woman taken into custody generally isn’t too happy about being told what to do. What she classifies as harassment is simply the police doing their job.
Stop pretending that their is a good reason for anything she did. There is nothing you can reveal that would justify anything she did. Nothing.
