(04/03/08 - Initial BBT Report)
Tyrone Forbes, 49, choir director at Seven Hills Charter School in Worcester, Massachusetts has been arrested and charged with statutory rape on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Forbes came to the attention of police when an officer on patrol allegedly discovered Forbes and the boy in a pickup truck in a parking lot at 1:30 am Thursday.
In questioning the two, officers determined that Forbes and the boy were allegedly in a sexual relationship which had been ongoing since November.
Reportedly Forbes is a friend of the boy’s family.
Forbes is charged with seven counts of rape of a child.
At an initial appearance in court Forbes was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail. If Forbes makes bail he is to have no contact with the boy.
Police indicate that in addition to being choir director at the school Forbes is also a pastor at the Mount Sinia Church of God in Christ in Worcester.

Tyrone Forbes has been arraigned on three counts of unnatural statutory rape of a child after being indicted recently by a grand jury.
Forbes entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
A grand jury handed up indictments on April 25 charging Forbes with three counts of unnatural statutory rape. This moved the case to Worcester Superior Court and resulted in the second arraignment.
Bond for Forbes was continued at $5,000.
Forbes’ attorney requested and received $1,500 from the budget of the state Committee for Public counsel Services to hire a forensic psychologist saying Forbes mental state could become a critical issue at trial.

Pastor Forbes was such a good leader and to see him in this state hurts me. Words can’t express how much i feel for him. His family is going through alot, our church is going through alot and i know he is having a hard time taking this in, but it’s okay he will make through and i know that god is on his side and know that we are as well. And i don’t want nobody judging him for this insident, yes it’s unbelieveble but if it was you, you wouldn’t want to be treaded this way. He is a good pastor, a good friend, and a good person to talk to about anything, and it hurts to see all this disrespect. No matter what he will always be the light at NEW LIFE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST!!

he was my pastor. at NEW LIFE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST in NASHUA NEWHAMPSHIRE. he meant everthing to me.i’ve been going to his church for seven years and never in my life will i ever believe that he would do something like this. but i know the victim. he was my ex. and people, the 15 old (the victim) was more then just an aquaintance with pastor forbes he was basically his son. he trusted him with everything and i talked to both families yesterday and its just confusing beyond belief. i’m soory this happened. i mean i would expect this from my own brother before i expect this from him. he was just so open and so easy to talk to. its just insane to know he is behind bars. and to see him on the news was torture. he IS a strong believer in his faith and GOD is his rock. i know he didnt mean for this to effect so many people in his life. you know? i mean for all of you who do not know him its like wow he’s a pervert but for people like me and his church family its not him who they have its another man who is all those things. but my pastor mr.tyrone forbes is everthing to me. and he was to that 15 year old. and he still is. i love him. and i truly forgive him even though he was wrong GOD forgave and so can we. thank you.he a great man and he just needs help. he was crying out and no one listened. so i feel bad. but i mean it will all get better eventually

He is an amazing teacher. My favorite music teacher, and the way he loved music. He was like a father to me, and it’s hard to see him like this. He’s a christian too, and believed in god with all his hard.I’m not believing anything unless he I hear him say what happened. No student in school is believing anything unless they hear him say it himself. I always thought he’d be there to watch me graduate, but unfortunately I will have to graduate this June with only memories of him. I will always remember him when I’m in high school, and for the rest of my life. I also feel bad for his family, especially since his sons are a legacy at our school.
