Troy Guzikowski Sentenced

Troy Guzikowski, 43, a former assistant principal at Reed City High School, in Reed City, Michigan who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student has been sentenced.

Guzilowski was sentenced under a plea deal worked out between prosecutors in both Osceola County and Mecosta County.

When Guzilowski pleaded guilty on August 3rd, he did so to one count each of first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, with one guilty plea being made in each county.

Had he been convicted at trial he could have received a sentence of up to life in prison, under the terms of the plea deal between prosecutors and Guzikowski, he was sentenced to a term of from seven to 11 years in prison on each count with the sentences to run concurrently.

Guzikowski was also ordered to pay $160 in restitution for counseling for the victim and her family, $1,240 in fines and costs, undergo HIV testing and participate in a mandatory sexual offender treatment program.
