Travis A. Montague, 21, a teaching assistant at Zebulon Middle School in Zebulon, North Carolina has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a 14-year-old female student.

Montague is reportedly charged with two counts each of taking indecent liberties with a student and taking indecent liberties with a child.

Montague came to the attention of authorities after the friend of a 14-year-old female student told the school’s guidance department of two separate incidents that allegedly occurred between March 23 and March 30. The incidents are alleged to have taken place on campus.

Reportedly, Montague, who worked one-on-one with a male special education student, resigned from the school system last Friday.

Following his arrest, Montague was being held in the Wake County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 secure bond.
