Tony Ray Malbrough, 44, reportedly a pastor and a music teacher at the New Community Church of God In Christ in Waldorf, Maryland has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual child abuse and sex offenses in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred at his residence.
Reportedly Malbrough was arrested by the Charles County Sheriffs Special Victims Unit on January 18.
Malbrough came to the attention of authorities when a 14-year-old male called to report that he had been sexually abused by the suspect while receiving music lessons at the Malbrough’s residence.
It is reported that investigators learned the abuse occurred on multiple occasions over a period of years and involved other children known to the victim. Those additional victims were contacted by authorities and they confirmed that they too had been abused.
Malbrough has been charged with second-degree child abuse, third-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense, and possession of child pornography and remains in the Charles County Detention Center in lieu of $500,000 bond.
