Timothy Allen Rhodes, 42, a physical education teacher at Pleasant Plains Elementary School in Towson, Maryland has been arrested on allegations of sexual abuse of a 12-year-old female.
Police say that Timothy Rhodes’ wife provided morning and after-school care for the victim. It is alleged that Timothy Rhodes sexually abused the girl on nights she stayed at his house, and after his wife went to work at night.
Rhodes is accused of touching the girl inappropriately under her clothing when she went to sleep, and on occasion would engage in oral sex with the victim. It is alleged that Rhodes had sexual contact with the girl 20 to 30 times between early 2005 and November 2007.
Rhodes has been charged with sex abuse of a minor, second-degree child abuse, second-degree assault, and third-degree sex offense. Following his arrest he was released on $250,000 bond.

Unfortunately, these things happen more often than people know about. The facts are this: children usually do not lie about these things. In fact, the cases that have incidents of falsehood usually involve custody cases and it was not the child that made up the story but the other parent involved in order to get custody. Fact is: Most child molesters have up to 500 victims in their life time. Most are never caught. Society has tended to side with the accused and neglect the one that has been victimized. We need to believe the victim and provide counseling for both parties involved.

I know him also, but you can’t put anything past anyone. There has to be some truth in that little girl’s story. Ask yourself why would this benefit her?

Another case of arrest = guilt. Tim’s heart has been opened to the needy but when the needy dont get what they want this is how they retaliate. its like when i was a kid and my parents did not treat me nice, i would balk “i’m going to call child services” it was a joke, but this is serious and its the same nonsence. Hopefully tim and his family make it out of this and the accused learns a lesson.

Bail-bonds people, probably used their house as collateral.

wow-$250.000 ? who has this kind of money? or was it 10%?i am not here 2 judge anyone.so i will keep the comments 2 myself.

Another case of bad things happening to the wrong people. It’s hard to lend a hand out to someone and then they’re bit in the ass when things go sour. I personally know Mr. Rhodes and wouldn’t expect nor believe any of this trash. There’s no telling what this selfish act will do to him and his family. Terrible..
