Thomas McCaffrey, 52, a former computer and health teacher at Walker Middle School in Salem, Oregon has pleaded not guilty to third-degree sex abuse.
It is alleged that McCaffrey in 2002 subjected a 16-year-old girl to non-consensual sexual contact by touching her breast.
McCaffrey was officially charged in September and placed on paid administrative leave at that time.
He entered a not guilty plea in November.
In December McCaffrey was fired by the Salem-Keizer School District. He had worked for the district since 1999.

He was arrested because of someone’s statement and then fired from his job after pleading not guilty. If he’s found not guilty he should have the right (Deleted by site moderator) and then sue the school district and police department.
