(04/15/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Thomas Anderson, 59, a former teacher and girls’ basketball coach at Seminole High School in Seminole, Florida has been arrested and charged with felony inteference of child custody.
It is alleged that on February 7, 2008 that Anderson suggested to a 16-year-old female student that she skip school and leave campus with him.
It is further alleged that Anderson picked her up off campus and took her to his house.
The girl has told police that Anderson took off his shirt and that she gave him a massage in the bedroom.
Reportedly, after the massage the girl asked Anderson to take her home and thereafter he dropped her off near her home.
Anderson who reportedly resigned from the school denies any massage occurred and says that he saw the girl walking near the school, knew she had personal problems, so he offered to take her to his house to talk.
Following his arrest Anderson was being held on $5,000 bond.
It is being reported that Anderson who worked at the school since 1996 had been previously accused of giving several female students massages almost 10 years ago.
