(08/06/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Tara Allison Hodges, 26, a special education inclusion teacher at Brazos Middle School in Waco, Texas has been arrested on allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male student.
It is alleged that on June 6th that Hodges picked the victim up in her car, drove him to her apartment, smoked marijuana with him and then performed oral sex upon the boy before having sexual intercourse with him.
It is further alleged that Hodges smoked marijuana and engaged in sexual relations with the boy on other occasions.
Hodges turned herself in to Waco Police, reportedly after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of Sexual Assault of a Child and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.
Reportedly Hodges came to the attention of police after she filed a false report of a sexual assault.
Hodges Released On Bond
Tara Hodges was released from the McLennan County Jail on Thursday after posting a $150,000 bond, after her bond amount was reduced from $300,000.
Hodges’ arrest warrant affidavit states hat Hodges had sexual contact with the alleged victim at least 10 times. And while the affidavit also states that on multiple occasions that she smoked marijuana the boy, Hodges has not been charged with an drug related offenses.
11/05/08 – Ten Count Indictment
Tara Allison Hodges has been named in a 10-count McLennan County grand jury indictment charging sexual assault of a child.
06/01/09 – Guilty Plea
Today, Tara Hodges pleaded guilty to 10 counts of sexual assault of a child.
No specific sentencing date was set other than “summer” and prosecutors are asking that she be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
07/27/09 – Sentencing
Tara Hodges has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on each of 10 counts of sexual assault of a child.
State District Judge Ralph Strother set the sentences to run concurrently.
Hodges who has already surrendered her teacher certification will be required to register as a sex offender upon her released from prison.

Lifelong friend, Was Tara ever on the Brady Bunch? She bares a striking resemblance to cousin Oliver. It can’t be, she would have to be older
it’s 100 years running concurrent…she will only serve 10. If you knew the whole story, you wouldn’t be saying the things that you are.

Tara hodges has her own business like her dad but her’s is HUNT FOR LITTLE BOYS i wish they would of gave her life and her parents try to get people to write letters so she can get off IT’S NOT WHARTON COUNTY AND KNOW ONE CARES YOUR LAST NAME IS HODGES MOM AND DAD CAN’T BUY YOU OUT OF THIS ONE HAVE FUN IN PRISON HAHA

At the risk of gloating over another person’s misfortune, it’s refreshing to see justice carried out to the full extent of the law. Ten (10) year prison terms just might deter some of the erratic behavior we’re seeing across the country from women in positions of trust over impressionable youths.
10 years per count. That is a long time. She earned it.
Known her and her family forever, they are great people and she had never been in any kind of troupble before now. God Bless all involved. Go figure.
