Tabatha Fidler, 27, a phys. ed./health teacher and volleyball coach at Gorham Fayette High School in Fayette, Ohio has been indicted on a charge of sexual battery of a 16-year-old student.
It is alleged that Fidler engaged in sexual conduct with a 16-year-old boy at her home in Montpelier in June of 2007.
Fidler who has been on administrative leave since January is scheduled to appear in court April 10th.
04/11/08 - Not Guilty Plea
Tabatha Fidler appeared in court yesterday and entered a plea of not guilty.
She was released on her own recognizance.
Her next court appearance is April 30th.
04/12/08 - Resignation
Filder has resigned from the school system. The school board accepted that resignation on April 10th.
06/17/08 - Guilty Plea
Tabatha Fidler has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery.
Reportedly one count involves conduct when Fidler was a teacher with the Gorham-Fayette School District in 2007 and the second count involves conduct which occurred in April and May 2004 while Fidler was a teacher with the North Central school system.
Sentencing is set for July 14th.

Tabatha Fidler has been sentenced to prison for three years on two counts of sexual battery.

Now that time has proven this situation out, I have one more question. Is there any proof that the faculty, administrators, or School Board knew of these infractions? If so, I believe it is time to hold them accountable for their negligence in duty……. Any comments on this?

I can 1 billion percent tell “Fid friend” that I know first hand of this evildoer’s ways and know much more than you ever will. I can also tell you I have found my peace, joy, and happiness. It is funny that you speak of supporting this person….. You support her actions? You support what she has done to all of these people. She is the common denominator. She has woven herself into quilts she was never meant to be apart of! She has cheated on everyone she has ever been with. She has ruined her child’s life at such an early age. She did this to her husband(s). She did this to her family. She needs to pay far beyond 3 years and she will. All for what “Fid friend”? So you can “support” her? So her family can? So her child can grow up proud of her? So the kids she taught can remember her? So all the students can defend her early on and then find out that a teacher was a liar and a cheat? Smal fish, big pond….. got caught….. bait fish now…… jailbait…..

Her husband did pass from a GENETIC heart problem, there are others in his family that have heart issues and that’s where it started. Fid and her son will be and are fine, her family and large group of friends support and love them both. Karma you claim lots of things but nothing you have said is factual. Again I’m sorry that you can’t find joy and happiness in your own life, but as much as you try you can’t change our love and support for her and her son.

Now that she is paying for ruining families and cheating on everyone in her path, everyone finds peace. As for fantastic family and friends…. I guess not… this has been going on for nearly two decades! And to the issue of losing her husband…. wasn’t it a heart problem? I feel bad for him (and the child). When your heart is stomped on by the actions of another, it seems to take a toll.

Once again a case where the students are very aware of the teachers behavior. And, once again, the teacher has a history of sexual misconduct at another school. She may have been a “great” teacher, she may be a “nice” person. That doesn’t change the fact that all teachers who have any type of sexual relationship with any student, she has some pretty serious mental and emotional issues. Hopefully she is required to register as a sex offender and will not be allowed to resume teaching on any level once she is out of prison.
