Stephen M. Majercik

Stephen M. Majercik, a technology teacher at St. Peter Chanel High School in Bedford, Ohio has been taken into police custody on suspicion of inappropriate behavior with a student.
Reportedly Majercik has been suspended by the school and police suspect there may be additional victims. Police are asking anyone with information to call 330-425-7874.
News reports have listed Mr. Majercik’s name as both “Stephen” and “Steven”. The majority of reports have listed the name as “Stephen” which is what we will go with here unless we are able to determine otherwise.
Additionally a Google Archive of the school’s website indicates that Mr. Majercik’s first name is Stephen.
That same Google archive of a no longer existent page on the school’s web site also indicates that Stephen Majercik holds a Phd and that Dr. Majercik was the Chair of the Technology Department for St. Peter Chanel High School.
2/29/08 - Additional Charges
Stephen M. Majercik has now been charged with an additional 23 felony charges.
3/14/08 - Guilty Pleas
WKYC is reporting the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office says Stephen Majercik has pleaded guilty to six counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nude Material, three counts of Pandering Sexual Material Involving a Minor, Sexual Battery, and Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
Sentencing is set for April 22nd.
04/22/08 - Sentencing
Today Stephen M. Majercik was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Majercik was also designed a Tier III sex offender (sexual predator).

There is not Identity theft. I went to school with this man and he is honestly smart. It’s just an odd coincidence that they both have the same name and both work with computers. Majercik was always pretty creepy o.O but no one could deny the dude was intelligent. He would fix all computers in the school. If he was a “fake” or “imposter” I highly doubt he would have been the head of anything in that high school.

Hello - I have stumbled onto this site because my last name is also Majercik and I was looking for relatives. I have read the information and the “responses” and because of the content of some of them, am concerned that a kind of identity theft has occurred here. Another site upon which I have stumbled (well this one and the other one both show up in a simple GOOGLE search) - concerns a Dr. Stephen M. Majercik who has a PhD, who is chair of the Computer Science Department at Bowdoin College in Maine, who has degrees from Harvard, Yale, the University of Southern Maine, and Duke, who has a fairly lengthy list of published articles, and whose Curriculum Vitae mentions, among other honors, having received a NASA Graduate Student Research Program Fellowship 1998 - 2000. The site I checked had his photograph, and it is DEFINITELY not the man pictured here. If the man pictured here has been passing himself off as this man, (stranger things have happened) then perhaps the authorities could apprise the Dr. Majercik in Maine of the situation. If it is only that some of the “bystanders” have made assumptions based on a misunderstanding, then please make some corrections so that the man in Maine is not unfairly maligned in any way. Would someone there PLEASE take responsibility for informing the proper authorities of this possibility. Thank you.

He pled guilty…enough evidence for everyone? Did it in order to have some of the charges dropped. Wonder if he thinks he will get away with this? Has said he hopes not to serve too much time. He should go away for a LONG time.

HE ALSO HAS A WEBSITE PROMOTING HIS BOOKS FOR CHILDREN. IRONIC THAT A SEXUAL OFFENDER IS ALLOWED TO PUBLISH AND ADVERTISE BOOKS ABOUT CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN. HOPE IT WILL BE SHUT DOWN ONCE HE GOES TO PRISON.

This man did not even hold a teaching certificate. How was he allowed to teach and be with children.

first of all…I did not sleep with him. The fact that you would say something like that shows your level of maturity. Second- nothing has been proven yet. We just need to wait and see what a jury of our peers says. Does anyone know when the court date is scheduled?
