(2/24/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Stephen Hume, a former art teacher at Thatcher High School in Thatcher, Arizona has pleaded guilty to six counts of attempted voyeurism.
Hume was originally charged with 14 counts of voyeurism and surreptitious photography on allegations that he video-recorded his students as they changed clothes for art projects.
As part of the plea deal Hume pleaded guilty to a single count of attempted voyeurism, one for each alleged victim.
Sentencing is set for May 5th and punishment may range from probation to 6 years in prison.
05/10/08 – Sentencing
Stephen Hume has been sentenced to one year in jail, three years of intensive probation and he will be required to register as a sex offender.
Upon completion of his probation, his probation officer may recommend Hume be removed from the sex offender registration.

I’m sorry but i went to school with (Name deleted by site moderator) she is a hypochondriac every other week there was something new wrong with her, she just had to be the center of everything! honestly i never believed her Hume was and amazing teacher given he would tell a few dirty jokes every now and again but he was a good person. Hume told me himself before this girl accused him of filming her changing that one of the other students had been destroying others art work, and he placed the camera back there to catch who had been doing it. these girls shouldn’t have changed back there in the first place if you want to change clothing just go to the bathroom! Hume will always be my favorite teacher from thatcher high all my best high school memories have come from his class room and i would just like to end by saying that I have no pity for (Name deleted by site moderator) and any of the other girls that listened to her and mindlessly went along with her in her quest to be the center of attention.

I am one of the victims of this man. I was at every hearing and I was the one that found the camera and turned him in. It has been a little over a year since this happend and he has still not been singed up as a sex offender. I was even the one who wrote a letter to him to be read in court. I hate him
