Stephanie A. Gross Guilty

Gross, 25, of Mohegan Lake, NY, a former social studies teacher at Lakeland High School, has entered into a plea deal in a case in which it was alleged she had sexual contact with a then 16-year-old boy.
Gross has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, both of which are misdemeanors under New York law.
Under the terms of the plea deal, she pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and in doing so agreed to pay a $300 fine, relinquish her New York state teachers certification and to be on probation for one year.
Gross, who had been free on $1,500 bail since her arrest, had earlier been fired from her job at Lakeland High School.
Owing to the charge to which she pleaded guilty, Gross will not be required to register as a sex offender.
