Stanley Lee Reed, 61, a former ROTC instructor and teacher at Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, Georgia has been returned to Chatham County after being arrested by US Marshals on December 23 in Alabama.
Reed is being charged with sexual assault against a student, aggravated molestation, and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
The three felony charges are in relation to alleged events that occurred in 2005 while Reed was an ROTC instructor and teacher at the school.
Reportedly Stanley Reed was also a Savannah Police Officer from 1973 to 1977 and 1980 to 1982 and was fired from the department, however police say that their records do not show why he was dismissed.
09/15/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
According to Chatham County online court records, Stanley Lee Reed has pleaded guilty to a total of seven felony charges including counts of child molestation, sexual exploitation of children, enticing a child for indecent purposes and statutory rape.
The judge sentenced Reed to 5 years in prison on five of the counts and lesser terms on the remaining two counts and ordered all sentences to run concurrently.

I just read where Stan pleaded guilty for child molestation. I know Stan as a neighbor,and associated with him at neighborhood events. For everyone that still reads this and talks to Stan, I want you to pass on to him to NEVER come near my family!! If he sees me on the street he better go to the other side. If not I will let everyone within the vicinity know that he is a child molester. This man is a predator, I do not care if the girl was 15 or not, she is still a child. People have said that he made a mistake, and I agree we all do. But even after making the mistake he still went to our church to teach teenage boys and girls. Why would a person do this? I feel that he was hoping to prey on other young girls. In my opinion this man deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail. Let me repeat, if you talk to Stan be sure to tell him that he is never welcomed at my house or near my family period.
