Shawn M. Feeney Sentenced

Feeney, 32, a former English teacher at East Brunswick High School in East Brunswick, New Jersey has been sentenced to four years in prison for molesting two teenage girls who were students at the school.
Feeney pleaded guilty in April to second-degree official misconduct and two fourth-degree charges of criminal sexual contact with the female students who were 16 and 17-years-old at the time.
The two incidents took place between December 2002 and June 2004 and occurred in Feeney’s New Brunswick apartment. Feeney was originally charged with having sexual intercourse with one of the girls and attempting to have sexual intercourse with the other.
Feeney came to the attention of authorities when one of the two girls approached school officials last year.
Feeney received credit for the 211 days he has spent in jail since his arrest and has no minimum sentence, meaning he is eligible for parole at any time.
