Shawn C. Fedele, 25, a former assistant girls’ basketball coach at East Bridgewater High School in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts has pleaded guilty in Brockton Superior Court to one count of Dissemination of Child Pornography and ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Fedele was sentenced to one year in the Plymouth House of Correction with thirty days to serve and the balance suspended for five years of probation.

Cruz also indicated that Fedele was sentenced to five years probation on the remaining child pornography charges and that during his probation, Fedele is required to wear a GPS monitoring device, register as a sex offender, undergo sex offender treatment, have no contact with children under 16 years old and not use computers or the internet.

Fedele came to the attention of state police by way of a tip from America On-Line indicating that an email account used by Fedele had uploaded pornographic images of children. A search of two computers found by police in Fedele“s bedroom revealed the offending images.
