Scott D. Fazekas, 28, of Sunbury, Ohio, a math teacher and assistant girls basketball coach at Marion Harding High School, in Marion, Ohio has pleaded guilty to charges of sexual imposition and menacing by stalking of a 17-year-old female student.
In May, the girl told a school counselor that Fazekas had engaged in unwanted contact of a sexual nature and made inappropriate comments to her on multiple occasions. Fazekas was placed on administrative leave and police were called to investigate.
In July police and prosecutors felt they had sufficient evidence to take the case to the grand jury, however an attorney for Fazekas contacted prosecutors and offered a guilty plea.
Fazekas was released on his own recognizance pending a pre-sentence investigation. He faces up to 18 months in prison on the sexual imposition charge and up to 60 days in jail on the menacing by stalking charge.
As part of the plea agreement, Fazekas who has been a teacher at the school for 6 years is required to resign, surrender his teaching license and will be required to register as a sex offender, the classification of which will be determined at sentencing.
10/02/07 - Sentencing
Scott D. Fazekas has been sentenced to 25 days jail time and classified as a sex offender for the next 15 years for engaging in unwanted sexual contact with one of his students.
As part of his plea agreement Fazekas resigned from his teaching position and has relinquished his teaching certificate. He will not be permitted to have contact with females under the age of 18.
05/20/08 - Fazekas Denied Loan Officer License
The Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Financial Institutions on Tuesday announced its intent to deny an application for a loan officer license to Scott D. Fazekas.
A Department press released suggested that Fazekas’ application was denied owing to his convictions and indicated that according to the Department, his “character and general fitness do not command the confidence of the public and warrant the belief that the business will be operated honestly and fairly in compliance with the purposes of the Ohio Mortgage Broker Act”.
Fazekas has requested an administrative hearing regarding the denial. That hearing is scheduled for June 5th.

he is doing mortgages for freedom banc under other loan officers names and he goes to people houses and they are not aware that he is a sexual preditor..Freedom Banc has his name but not picture on their website for a reason ..thought you might like to know they know of his past however still lets him sell loans and also go to people home
