Guilty

(1/26/08 – Initial BBT Report)

Sandra Borrego, 41, a dance instructor who rented space from and taught dance classes at the Most Precious Blood Catholic School in Corpus Christi, Texas has been indicted on 22 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Sandra Borrego

It is alleged that Borrego had sexual contact with a then 13-year-old on about 20 to 30 occasions behind a curtain in the school’s cafeteria and at her house.

Since Borrego became pregnant during the time frame she is accused of sexually abusing the boy, a judge earlier ordered DNA testing to determine the baby’s biological father. The District Attorney’s office has the results of that DNA testing but can not disclose them owing to the pending case.

Borrego is free on $25,000 bond.

Webmaster’s note: Ms. Borrego is not and was not an employee of the Catholic Diocese or Most Precious Blood Catholic School. She rented space from the school and in that rented space she conducted her classes. However owing to her presence within the school, proximity to students and the nature of the alleged offenses it was determined that badbadteacher.com would list this case in our reference.

09/03/08 – Trial Delayed, Re-Indictment Required

The trial of Sandra Borrego was set to start this week however it is not going to occur.

Court records indicate that last Thursday a grand jury reindicted Borrego.

The charges are basically the same, however some of the dates of the alleged offense were changed, according to Borrego’s defense attorney.

The reindictment means Borrego must be arraigned a second time. Reportedly a new arraignment and trial dates have not been scheduled.

06/09/09 – Guilty Plea

Today, Sandra Borrego pleaded guilty to 22 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Borrego was sentenced to 180 days in jail to be followed by 10 years deferred adjudicated probation.

Borrego’s defense attorney said that Borrego will likely now face deportation, because while she is a U.S. legal resident she is a citizen of Mexico.

Borrego’s guilty plea came just moments before a jury was to be selected for her trial.

David are you her lawyer or something? Where you there? If not then how do you know all the facts? Do you hear self? “He wanted it and he liked it”, (Expletive deleted by site moderator). She is the adult and she is the one to blame. I have child that is about to start school next year should i be worried about his teacher “sexually assaulting him”. She is a teacher damn it, she should be helping kids. You never blame the victims in situations like. You are blaming everyone except the person responsible david. People like sandra are just a waste of oxygen. The oxygen could be put to much better use cut hers off. and Yes I agree with just say no if anything, the mother is to blame for not letting her child testfiy and letting that pedohpile get a slap on the wrist.

I am going to tell you a few things:
      1. I never said that she wasn’t guilty
      2. Look at the whole picture read between the lines don’t just go off judging someone by what is being said
      3. He was in perfect mentality to stop what was going on. They both knew it was wrong I’ll give it that and he also has the power to say no or stop but NOOOO his testosterone levels didn’t permit him to.

      • Riley R:

Well then we just have different opinions. She pleaded guilty so she must have done it. But yes most of the blame if not all goes to her. She was the adult.

How the hell is the mother tp blame? They need to lock up that pedophile and throw away the key. I cant belive that monster is going to be allowed to walk down our streets or go to Mexico and rape another child. Sandra Borrego is nothing but a s***, that deserves her own children taken away.

Riley the reason i said the mother is also to blame is because seeing how the circumstances are she kinda is. A mother that leaves her child unattended to a certain point causes that child to look for love somewhere else. Before you go on saying certain things please get your facts straight plus it wasn’t rape! He wanted it and he liked it! now shes the one that has to pay the consequences.

It wasn’t statutory rape, it was sexual assault. Great point. Where’s that rolling eyes emoticon when you need it?

Did the judge ask the boy if he liked it?

Does the boy have to quit school, get a job, start buying diapers, and be a real father to his child?

The mother is guilty of not allowing the prosecution to be properly conducted by withholding the testimony of her child. That’s despicable in my book, but it doesn’t make her guilty of having her own child sexually assaulted.

  • David S:

You know im not in favor of what she did but it all just can’t be blamed on her. Yes she made a mistake and a big one. If the boy didn’t want it then why didn’t he stop her or say something before?!?!…The mother in these cases is also to blame if you think about it.

    • justsayno:

It can, and has all been blamed on her. And she didn’t just make a big mistake, she committed a crime–repeatedly.

And, um, exactly how many 13 year old boys do you think would actually turn down sex with an adult woman that isn’t simply repulsive? Zero? Oh, good. You got it right. Thanks for playing.

  • Peter Cottontail:

This woman should go to prison for molesting a child, but the parents of the 13 year old boy should be required to pay child support, or adopt the baby. The boy got lucky. The teacher wasn’t so lucky. The only true victim in this crime is the baby.

  • Joe:

She is one hot tamale. She’s any thirteen year old boy’s wet dream and now she the mother of one of their babies.

  • mr.plum:

Meant to say how messed up the baby she had with the boy will be.

  • mr.plum:

Yeah, and just think how messed up the baby she had with the boy. Wonder if he will have to pay child support. Maybe she wanted an anchor baby too.

  • justsayno:

    This sentence is ridiculous.

I also find the victims mother’s position ridiculous.

‘The victim’s mother cried as she told District Judge Jose Longoria she approved of the plea agreement because she didn’t want her son, now 16, to have to testify.

“I just wouldn’t want him to go through this again,” she said. “He doesn’t deserve this.”’

‘Longoria reminded the boy’s mother that part of his job is to protect the community, asked if she understood what the plea agreement would mean and underscored the seriousness of the case.’

‘Longoria said Borrego preyed on the boy and took advantage of him.

But in the end, Longoria approved the deal, sentencing Borrego, 43, to 10 years deferred adjudication probation. She also was taken into custody to serve 180 days in jail as a condition of her probation.’

‘The boy’s mother addressed Borrego from the stand calling her a sexual predator who isn’t really sorry.

“I think you’re just sorry you got caught,” she said.’

Thanks for making sure the unrepentant predator that went after your kid is out in 180 days. Way to go Mom!

With any luck, Borrego will blow (no pun intended) her probation and be subject to 5-99 years.

  • Stephen:

um…she got just HOW many days in jail???

She’s 41 and the kid 13. Make that a male teacher and a female student, and the shnook would serve 10 years.

  • Theresa:

This is disturbing and yet there is something else going on here.

  • Jim C:

Here is another update from last month on this case. I see the defense wants a physchological evaluation before going to trial. I bet this will be another “bipolar disorder” defense now. http://www.caller.com/news/2008/oct/07/ex-dance-teachers-trial-is-postponed/

  • Jim C:

She looks better in person. You should see her walk and dance. I could definitely see how a 13 year old boy would fantasize about her.

  • Jim:

She a scary looking woman in the picture, but I bet she cleans up nicely and has a hot body. I’d bump and grind with her on a dance floor, and off the dance floor too.

  • Mike Henle:

Put her on Dancing With The Stars
