Robert Reinhardt, 44, the former Dean of Students at The Gunnery in Washington, Connecticut has reportedly been arrested on allegations of the sexual assault of three victims, at least one of whom is a male student.

Reinhardt is reportedly charged with various counts, including second-degree sexual assault, one count of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
At his arraignment this morning bond for Reinhardt was reportedly set in the amount of $750,000 and he was subsequently released on bond.
Reinhardt came to the attention of authorities in June when a student told his mother that a teacher brought him to the teacher’s room and touched him inappropriately. The mother called state police who obtained two warrants to search the teacher’s dormitory and sent evidence to the state forensics laboratory for testing. Over the course of their investigation, state police reportedly found three victims, two of whom are under 16 years of age.
When asked, Reinhardt said he had no comment about the allegations and his attorney, William Dow, said the claims are all false.
A spokesperson for The Gunnery said Reinhardt no longer works at the private college prep school.

Robert Reinhardt was arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Litchfield Superior Court on charges of second-degree sexual assault and providing liquor to a minor, the result of a fourth alleged victim coming forward.
Judge James Ginocchio ordered an additional bond of $200,000 in light of the new charges.
10/17/09 – Court Appearance
On Friday, Robert Reinhardt made a court appearance and pleaded not guilty Friday to charges he sexually molested students at the Gunnery school.
Reinhardt remains free on $950,000 in bonds.
His next court date is set for November 17th.

I too went to LaSalle in the 90s but it wasn’t until a few conversations in 2006, 2007 & 2008 that I learned about Bob Reindhart…from other LaSalle teachers. It was never specifically stated that Mr. Reindhart engaged in inappropriate behavior with a LaSalle student. Teachers, however, were well aware of his predilections and suggested that he was let go as a result. The conversations took place more than 2 1/2 years before these allegations were made. Anyone else for full disclosure when it comes to the safety and well-being of young people?
To “gunnery student”
Just because you were used to seeing down at crew practice everyday, it does not mean that this man is no longer capable of anything like this. From what my child has told me, the school as a whole does not seem too opinionated about this issue and this case is almost never mentioned among my child’s group of friends. As far as the team missing Rob, this seems like a shakey statement as well because again, it is apparently almost never discussed. I think you might be surprised at how this case plays out in the end.
What do you mean by “few bad false accusations?” Are you saying that whoever brought this forward must be making it up?
ok he obviously wouldnt put a student in this kind of position he just wouldnt. he was a crew coach not mine but i still c him day after day down at the boat house. he is an amazing man.
dont think of these few bad false accusations but think of the good things he has done.
he is an awesome man, and we are all still supporting him.
when this is over all you no believers will b ashamed after agreeing with this crap.
ala in all its not tru.
Ryno if you ever see this,
the whole team, all of the gunnery misses you.
you are innocent and i know it.
