Robert Kevin Cyphers Guilty
Posted by: Webmaster in Coaches, ME-FV, Teachers - Misc, TexasRobert Kevin Cyphers, 45, a former teacher, coach and sports referee in the Houston and Tyler, Texas school systems has been convicted of three counts of aggravated sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl.

Cyphers was charged with molesting the 8-year-old girl three different ways on October 2, 2006 while the victim’s mother was at work. Cyphers came to the attention of authorities when officials at Whitehouse Elementary School discovered a note the victim had written which said she had been sexually abused.
From the Tyler Morning Telegraph:
The girl said she didn’t know how old she was when the sexual abuse started but it was before and during the third grade, and he would do it after school while her mother was at work. She said the last time he did it was the day before she talked to her school counselor on Oct. 2.
At the time of the offenses for which Cyphers was convicted he was not actively working as a teacher or coach and was according to media reports a stay-at-home dad and working on getting his Master’s Degree.
During the trial it was revealed that the victim’s older sister said during an interview with Child Protective Services that Cyphers had rubbed her back, legs and inner thighs before but had never touched her private parts.
A registered nurse testified that she examined the victim and said she had sustained trauma consistent with sexual abuse.

i know him he would never do anything like this. (Name deleted by site moderator) is a liar and has been ever since i’ve known her. she needs attention for herself (Deleted by site moderator). (Name deleted by site moderator) betrayed my family. in the beggining when all this happened she was on our side. when we had the court date for my dad she said that my dad should go to hell and that he was guilty, but a few weeks before that she said he wasn’t. whats wrong with this world? why do kids like her have to ruin peoples lifes? how come a (Deleted by site moderator) girl who has always been feeding for attention say one thing and now my life is ruined? i don’t get to see my dad anymore. i see my baby brother once a month for a weekend. i THANK GOD that i dont EVER have to speak too or see (Name deleted by site moderator) again. i havent talked to my dad since last year. i havent given him a hug or a hug in about 3 years. he’s the one who tought me everything from using the bathroom to becoming a succsesful child. he wont see me or my sister graduate from highschool or go to college. he wont see us get married and he didnt get to see my sister turn 16, and he wont see me turn 16, or graduate the eighth grade. he hasen’t seen me play volleyball since i was 11 years old, and now im almost 14 and play school volleyball and made it second place in district this year. i miss him so much and i hope (Deleted by site moderator) knows what she did wrong.
