Robert Jacobs, 24, a former teacher who reportedly worked with kids with behavior disorders at Baker Middle School in Baker, Louisiana has been arrested on allegations that he molested a 16-year-old female student.
Reportedly Jacobs is charged with sexual battery, molestation of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
The alleged victim reportedly told investigators that Jacobs touched her inappropriately on several occasions. She also told investigators that Jacobs offered to give her a ride home from school if she would first walk a few blocks off campus and that during one such ride in either March or April, the girl alleges that Jacobs touched her breast under her shirt and asked if she would like to have sex with him.
Jacobs came to the attention of officials when another student wrote a letter to the middle school’s principal alleging Jacobs was having “an affair” with the 16-year-old and the principal notified the girl’s mother who in turn called police.
Reportedly, Jacobs has resigned from the Baker School System.
Jacobs reportedly denied ever touching the girl but allegedly admitted to having talked to her on the phone for several months and once gave her a ride to school because she missed her bus.
