Robert DiLullo, 24, a substitute teacher at Ocean City High School in Ocean City, New Jersey has been arrested on charges alleging he had sex with a 16-year-old female student.
Police allege that DiLullo had sex with the girl both at his residence and at the school.
It is further alleged that DiLullo gave the girl alcohol and that once at his house he had sex with her while she was drunk and unconscious.
The alleged victim has told police that her relationship with the teacher started in December and that they engaged in sexual acts inside empty classrooms at Ocean City High School.
Following his arrest DiLullo was reportedly released on $100,000 bond.
08/15/08 – Guilty Plea
Robert DiLullo pleaded guilty this afternoon to a single count of endangering the welfare of a child.
As part of his plea deal with prosecutors DiLullo will be sentenced on Oct. 31 to 364 days in the Cape May County jail to be followed by five years of probation.
In court DiLullo admitted that gave a female student alcohol on multiple occasions and engaged in oral sex with her in August of last year.
10/31/08 – Formal Sentencing
Today Robert DiLullo was officially sentenced to one year less 1 day in jail.
DiLullo will have to serve 77 of the 364 days before he is eligible for parole.
DiLullo will not be allowed to teach again or serve in public office.

Although I see both sides of the coin my take is that he is a teacher. If he was a trash man it would be different, a teacher or counseler or police officer, these are positions of authority and thats what makes the difference in my opinion. I am not defending her actions but teenage girls can be both vulnerable and insecure. What if you had a teacher who wanted a relationship with a student that the student didn’t want, could that student think his or her grade may be affected? Or how about a teeneager and a police officer? Could that teen think they may be harrassed in town? I know they take an oath but lets face it any professional adult that is sleeping with teenagers is lacking some type of morality.
I went to high school with this guy and he was a perv back then. He only liked freshmen who looked like kids… even as a senior, as a college student as well. Creep. He basically stalked me.
