Kay, you know the truth. You ignored the red flags. Might even know more. How many times has this happenend? Is Dick only into child raping little girls or does he use his bible to go after little boys?

Kay, do yourself a favor, divorce this child rapist. The bible is clear, you can divorce and not goto hell for divorce, because Dick is an adulterer too.

    This message is for Kay.
This is not intended to hurt you or make you feel worse in any way. You are a beautiful, sweet woman with so much going for you. Let’s for a second put the religion B.S. aside. You know what Ritchie has done is horribly wrong on many levels, and that you DO NOT deserve this. You are young and deserve to live life a wonderful life with someone who respects you. You know in your heart that this is not only the second time this has happened. Being a woman who has spent a considerable amount of time with you and Ritchie, I KNOW he has strayed many many times. You can tell by his demeanor around other women that is a fiend. I hope that in 17 months you will come to the realization that he will do this again. I wish you had stuck to your guns and kicked his sorry ass to the curb. Do you want to live the rest of your life wondering who Ritchies next victim will be? Do you want to spend every second you are not with him, wondering what he is doing or who? Do you want to be a baby sitter for a grown man? Rich would leave you in a split second, if he found the right teen that could support his pathetic ass. You and your kids deserve so much better. Why would you stay with someone who doesnt give a crap about his family? Family should be his #1 priority. Especially after losing Cheryl and gaining a new grand baby. He flushed it all down the drain without a second thought. Mark my words this will not be the last time he cheats on you.

  4. Jon says:

This loser is a rapist. This is the only time the law has caught upto him. He’s a 42 year old scumbag, who uses the bible to rape children.

Anyone want to speculate how child rape victims are out there?

  5. geoff says:

    The facts?

    Do you even know him?

Have you read all of this blog?

the facts are he is in the place he belongs in.
    He got lucky.

They dropped 2 charges against him that would have never happened if the rest of his actions had been brought to light. to split hairs over a year is childish much like a 16 year old. much like him. much like continuing this silly debate.

You are in the minority with your opinion.

you are free to have it.

he rapes that is my opinion. I have my reasons for that opinion.

I dont need to explain it to you.

  6. Dana says:

That’s right smart guy, that is the definition of statutory rape! But he wasn’t convicted of statutory rape he was convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor. The reason being that in the state of Washington the age of consent is 16 not 18. If she would have had sex with Joe Blow across the street we wouldn’t even know about it! But teachers are held to a higher standard and that’s what he’s in trouble for. I am all for holding teachers to a higher standard we have to protect our kids but I just want to make sure that you to know the facts!

  7. geoff says:

This is the legal definition of statutory rape

Dana and Sharon. so you can agree or disagree but the law says this and the truth is what it is! Rich is lucky he isnt in for much longer.

Statutory rape is sex between an adult and a minor below the age of consent. Every state has a statutory rape law in some form. The age of consent varies from state to state, but is generally from 16 – 18 years of age. Many state statutes also specify a minimum age of the perpetrator or an age differential (as at least four years) between the perpetrator and the victim. Consent of the victim and belief that the victim is of the age of consent are usually considered immaterial.

Some of the issues statutory rape laws are designed to prevent include:

    * Sexual coercion and abuse of the child involved
    * Increased rates of teenage pregnancy
    * Increased rates of fatherlessness
    * Higher rates of child poverty and welfare dependency.

The California State Assembly recently passed a bill which would add penalties of up to five years in jail for statutory rape when a minor becomes pregnant. This penalty can be sought in addition to civil and/or criminal suits for statutory rape. Criminal charges may be a reason supporting denying a father’s parental rights.

The following is an example of a state law dealing with statutory rape:

2907.04. Unlawful sexual conduct with minor.

No person who is eighteen years of age or older shall engage in sexual conduct with another, who is not the spouse of the offender, when the offender knows the other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age, or the offender is reckless in that regard.
Whoever violates this section is guilty of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Except as otherwise provided in divisions (B)(2), (3), and (4) of this section, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a felony of the fourth degree.
Except as otherwise provided in division (B)(4) of this section, if the offender is less than four years older than the other person, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a misdemeanor of the first degree.
Except as otherwise provided in division (B)(4) of this section, if the offender is ten or more years older than the other person, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a felony of the third degree.
If the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to a violation of section 2907.02, 2907.03, or 2907.04 of the Revised Code or a violation of former section 2907.12 of the Revised Code, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a felony of the second degree.

  10. Agrees with Justice says:

As these threads read it seems most of you believe in Jesus Christ & the Bible as Gospel. If this is true then you should concur that “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph 6:12.

This basically means that Rich has been used as a tool of Satan & not some Casanova as he’d liked to be portrayed. I met him at the Riddle HS in 2001. Basically, he looked liked an average Joe, very plain & frankly I am amazed that he managed to seduced so many girls. The only way he could get these girls is through strategized manipulation.

The point is – this is a spiritual battle. He has opened a door to allow himself to be used by his temptations. And until HE chooses not to partake in such disgusting acts, this battle will not end.

Anyone, who stands on his side needs to stand in the gap for him & pray for deliverance because without deliverance he will not change. He does NOT possess the strength necessary to end the deceit on his own.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this man’s actions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. JamesX says:

    “Everybody makes mistakes.”

Please. Do not lump the rest of us imperfect mortals along with Richie Rapist because “we’ve all made mistakes.” I lost my temper and spoke harshly to a coworker today. That was a mistake. Habitually taking advantage of children you are entrusted to teach is a gruesome “mistake” on a level that is exceptionally heinous. And yes…the degree of mistake means a lot when you consider the impact this weak and disgusting man’s crime has had.

And I don’t understand this concept that people seem to be adopting: he was a good man and these actions aren’t indicative of who he is. Oh you could not be more wrong. The exact opposite is true. Ask yourself – what is a truer indicator of a person’s soul? What they say and how they behave in front of people or how they ACT when they think nobody is watching? What they say to their family and friend’s at gatherings or how they behave when they think they won’t get caught?

You people seem to make the mistake of believing that the phony, glad-handing, “praise-Jesus” bellowing blowhard was the real guy. Nope. The real guy was the sleazeball lusting after teen girls and doing disgusting things to ensnare them in his web.

You’ve all had the wool pulled over your eyes. When are you going to wake up and realize that you’ve been duped?

  12. aaron says:

i think mr parrett made a huge and vulgar mistake… about that there is no doubt!

But about all this “well he’s a christian” BS we all really need to think about who Christians are… Christians are not perfect and they are all just as sinful as every single other person (christian or not) in the world. I knew mr. parrett on a personal level as my basketball coach and bible class teacher. He was a much better person than his actions show.

I acknowledge that his actions were not performed in a moment of weakness and are inexcusable… But how many of you have lived a life without making a mistake that you still regret to this day? The truth is we all have!

Im just saying this from the perspective of someone who knows him, tlaked with him and spent alot of one on one time with him that he is a very great man, and he also made a very great mistake, but as people we should not condemn him more for his christian beliefs. He is still human just like us all.

    Mr. Parrett

I still love you Mr. Parrett, and I’ll continue to pray for you as you serve your time. I know your gonna get out a person and i have full faith in the plans That the Lord has set for you.

  13. Kristen B says:

I’m writing for the people hurt by Richie. I am writing for those who find some vindication in our legal system accurately describing Parrett’s behavior as illegal. I do not joy in the fact that Rich is being punished, but I find peace in knowing that there is such a thing as justice.

We have come to this forum because we have been effected. Somewhere deep, where few things touch, we were torn apart by this man’s actions, and we want understanding, justice, and more importantly THE TRUTH TO COME TO THE LIGHT. For those of us who experienced Rich 13 years ago, let’s be honest, justice did not come. It was muddled, and swept under the rug, and we were told by too many people’s actions, “It’s not that bad.” And somewhere in us, we longed to scream out – NO IT IS WORSE!

Today we have that. We can see the truth clearly, not hidden in secret, and no one can take that away from us…no one.

At 16, I was a scared girl who made a promise to a best friend, and for months was sick about what to do with a horrible secret. All the while Richie quoted scripture about how he would eventually be forgiven, warned me I would ruin his family if I told. Drilled into me that I had no right to judge – no one is perfect. Something broke in me that summer. I learned that if the girl is pretty – rape is her fault. I learned that if a molestor apologizes – he can work with kids again. I learned that the law is wrong, and 16 and 17 year olds are just as responsible as 28 year olds. These lies formed me in a devastating way. Yes, judge Bennett, there is a ripple effect.

Strangely, my path again crossed with Richie’s and I worked with him when I was 24 – saw him almost everyday and I was more than cordial. I delighted in the success of his son, whose life I was once afraid of ruining. I was extremely thankful to Sharon for staying up all night with me in the hospital. I had nothing but compassion and understanding for Kay. And I thought…perhaps there can be restoration here? God can make all things new.

I struggled with questions of – What is it to turn the other cheek? When do we fight for justice? For whatever reason, I settled for the wrong answer. The reason we voice our anger today is because we recognize that we should have voiced it long ago – Boldly and without regret – not to see Rich punished, but to protect others.

To Nicole…of all the paths that you could have taken, of all the destructive choices you could have made, you chose one that glorifies God and builds His Kingdom. I wish I could have followed your example sooner. You have a family that is rare in trust and strength. Your testimony is the light overcoming the darkness.

To the girl that just took the stand – thank you. Thank you for being courageous and fighting for the truth. Do not let a single lie come into your heart that would discourage or shame you. Victim is the right word. Rape is the right word. Don’t let anyone take that from you.

For those wanting to stand by Richie – if that is what God has called you to do, I am in no position to question it. So if you need to stay away from sites like these – I don’t blame you.

To Geoff and Tanya and Lou and everyone else who shakes with anger at being attacked for speaking the truth… Let them say what they want. Let them question our faith and call us cowards. What does it matter? Really, what does it matter? We extend a kind word to Rich’s family and it is thrown back at us. We try to bring hidden acts to the light for clarity and they call us liars.

I shake the dust off my sandals and say you cannot take my peace anymore, you cannot repaint the truth with your scorn. We know – and the truth has finally set us free. I pray for everyone’s sake – including Richie’s, that this is the last time.
