(04/26/08 - Initial BBT Report)
Richard Curley, 55, founder and principal of Pacifica Academy in Encinitas, California has been arrested and charged with molesting a female student.
It is alleged that Curley molested the girl during study sessions between October 2007 and this month.
Allegedly Curley has made statements to detectives confirming some the the alleged victim’s allegations.
Following his arrest, Curley was being held on $50,000 bond.

I understand the your post WELL KNOWN, and you are welcome to your opinion. I agree with many of your statements, but i will tell you that richard curley has admitted it to me the second that the accreditors (the recipients of the original complaint)walked out of the school he stated to one of the students who reported it. He stated, obviously off the record, to a female student who reported it, to tell the victim that he is sorry and that he loved the student and didn’t mean to hurt the student. His actions were reported by more than one person. Richard was great at teaching, and he was a very devoted man. He, without doubt, held that school together, but even a person so devoted to their job can have perverted feeligns. Many people thought they knew him. Also, this article is false. The gender has not been released, although many people know that it was in fact a male student.

I was part of this school when it was founded and Richard Curly would never conduct himself inappropriately. These allegations are completely ridiculous. I would not be surprised if it was made up because of a student’s poor performance. As we see in another comment about graduating, kids can be resentful if they do not get what they want. So we have Richard Curly devoted to his passion of educating students for decades, not to mention the knowledge he has to give, with a bad rap. Richard Curley is the best professor I know. As I said before this is ridiculous and now Richard has to suffer the consequence of these allegations. I mean come on; people don’t just wake up at 55 and decide to do these types of acts. There would have been previous signs of this behavior. I ask you to find those signs with Richard Curly. All you will find is someone who gave his life to the success of young minds and developing a creditable school. Curly is committed solely to this school and the achievement of its members. Free Richard Curly!

I will say this much, I along with some good friends of mine all went to this school for high school. We always figured Curley to be some sort of sick (****), but we always figured he was gay. Well looks like our assumptions were right. There was one friend of mine who never graduated high school because this guy pulled some bullshit on the kid in his senior year and told him he would not be able to graduate about a month into second semester. Glad to see he finally got what he deserved.
