Ricardo Espinoza-Valdez, a temporary food service worker at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona has been arrested after he allegedly admitted “upskirting” female students.

Espinoza-Valdez came to the attention of school officials when a student reported that he was taking pictures of female students’ legs and buttocks by placing a camera phone within inches of their skirts.
On Tuesday the Saguaro principal and vice principal allegedly caught Espinoza-Valdez engaged in the same activity with another female student. They confronted him, seized the camera and notified the school resource officer. Espinoza-Valdez was detained at the school and interviewed by sex-crimes detectives.
Espinoza-Valdez appeared Wednesday in Scottsdale City Court on three charges of suspicion of disorderly conduct. Police are investigating possible felony charges of voyeurism.
Espinoza-Valdez is a Mexican national whose green card has expired. He is being held in the Maricopa County jail on $1 million bond.
Espinoza-Valdez was not a direct employee of the school district but was employed through an outside agency called Executemps Southwest Inc. of Phoenix and operated a lunch kiosk for the Scottsdale Unified School District.
