Phillip Coffelt

Phillip Coffelt, 33, a math teacher at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina has reportedly been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Coffelt is reportedly charged with four counts of sexual activity by school personnel with a student.

It is alleged that there were at least four sexual encounters between Coffelt and the girl at his home.

It is further alleged that the sexual encounters occurred between February and April 2009.

Following his arrest, Coffelt was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 secured bond with an initial court appearance set for today.
