Lindsey Seymour, 27, a former teacher at Alvin C. York Institute in Jamestown, Tennessee has reportedly been indicted by the Fentress County grand jury on eight counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.

Seymour is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy between June 2009 and September 2009.

Seymour came to the attention of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation by way of allegations made by the family of the student.

Seymour resigned her job at the school on September 28 after an investigation into the allegations began.

A court date of November 9, 2009 has been set for Seymour’s first appearance.

Following her indictment, Seymour turned herself in to authorities in Fentress County and was subsequently freed on $25,000 bond.

Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo, 33, a seventh-grade social studies teacher at Jimmy Carter Middle School, in Albuquerque, New Mexico has reportedly been fired over accusations she had sex with a 13-year-old male student.

According to an Albuquerque Public Schools spokesperson, Sanchez-Trujillo was terminated today for employee misconduct. The spokesperson indicated that the firing followed an anonymous source contacting school administrators on Tuesday.

The Albuquerque Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into the allegations and a police spokesperson confirmed an investigation is underway but said no criminal charges have been filed.

Albuquerque Public Schools Superintendent Winston Brooks has been quoted in news media reports as stating that Sanchez-Trujillo confessed to a sexual relationship with a student.

10/29/09 – Police Arrest Kristy Sanchez Trujillo

On Wednesday night, police arrested Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo.

Reportedly she is charged with three counts of criminal sexual penetration by school personnel.

It is alleged that one week ago, Trujillo lured the boy out of the classroom, and started having sex with him.

Sanchez Trujillo came to the attention of school officials and police after she reportedly told another teacher of the alleged improper relationship and that teacher turned her in.

10/29/09 – Case Details Released

The criminal complaint states Sanchez-Trujillo and the student came to the Petroglyph National Monument and that they parked and had sexual relations on multiple occasions.

Police alleged that Sanchez-Trujillo told them her student was “more experienced than any man she’s had sex with” and described him as a “25-year-old in a 13-year-old’s body.”

Investigators said that the only reason the relationship ended was because the student’s older brother spotted the pair together.

Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo has reportedly been charged with three counts of rape and was released on bail..

Stephanie Jo Walters, 27, an eighth-grade teacher at Musselman Middle School in Bunker Hill, West Virginia has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male student.

Walters has been charged with sexual abuse by a person of trust to a child.

Walters turned herself into the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department and was arraigned on Friday. At her arraignment, Magistrate W. Randy Smith set bail at $20,000 and Walter was subsequently released on bail.

It is alleged that the boy told Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department that he got Walter’s mobile phone number at a basketball game in December 2008, and began receiving text messages of a sexual nature from Walters in February. The boy also allegedly told investigators that he received sexually explicit messages from Walters through MySpace.

Walters allegedly confided in a female student that she and the 14-year-old male student made out and she had let him touch her breasts and kiss her on April 3rd.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, the alleged sexual misconduct began in February and school officials were alerted on April 22 when a student revealed that the alleged victim and teacher were sending text messages to one another.

Walters has been on administrative leave since April 22.

Stephanie Jo Walters has reportedly been fired by the school system.

10/22/09 – Grand Jury Indictment

Reportedly, a Berkeley County grand jury has indicted Stephanie Jo Walters on one count of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust, third-degree sexual abuse and solicitation of a minor through use of a computer.

Walters remains free on bail while awaiting future court proceedings.

10/29/09 – Arraignment

Attorney B. Craig Manford has entered not guilty pleas on behalf of Stephanie Jo Walters to counts of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust, third-degree sexual abuse and solicitation of a minor through the use of a computer.

A trial was scheduled for February 9th.
