Nathan Paul Antrim, 35, of Rogers, Minnesota and a hockey coach at Cooper High School has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly sexually assaulting one of his players.
Antrim came to the attention of police when the girl’s father told school officials that he believed she was with Antrim last weekend.
Allegedly Antrim, who gave the girl a cell phone and an iPod as gifts, admitted to police that he had sex with the girl last weekend.
If convicted Antrim could face up to 15 years in prison.
Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Nathan Antrim has pleaded guilty to third degree criminal sexual conduct and has been sentenced to 365 days in the workhouse by District Judge John Sommerville.
Reportedly Antrim apologized to the victim’s family in court and indicated that he is seeking treatment for drug and alcohol problems.

So a 35 year old couldn’t see past or above the agenda of a 16 year old? Are you serious??? Interesting? you are the one that seems to know so much about this. That wouldn’t be your picture above would it? The only person that had an agenda in this situation is Antrim. He executed his agenda and he got caught. Got a small portion of what he deserved. Gee……I wonder how many 5 year olds are out there plotting their “agenda’s” to go and rob a bank? I seriously can’t believe you said that. AGENDA. You really have no idea of how a teenage girl is capable of thinking do you? Most think and feel with their heart in mind. It’s during this time that they need STABLE and LAW ABIDING adults in their lives. You need to read up on your laws when it comes to age of consent with teachers/coaches/school employees. If you need it clarified………NO TEACHER, NO COACH, NO SCHOOL EMPLOYEE PERIOD IS TO “EVER” HAVE SEX WITH A STUDENT…..REGARDLESS OF THE STUDENTS AGE. Do you think that they are going to make exceptions for other crimes? So…maybe it might be ok to commit armed robbery if you’re driving a BMW and someone else told you to do it? You need to seriously get a clue. Laws are laws. And surprisingly……the good teachers/coaches/school employees don’t even have to be told the laws. They know!! And they wouldn’t dream of committing such horrific crimes against a child. I’ll bet there are quite a few teachers out there that have been approached or have had a child flirt with them and haven’t acted on it. Your ignorance is very unbecoming.

Maybe there is a reason that he is doing 6 months on work release, and not sent to prison. Everybody thinks they know everything and all the facts, but none of us do. The courts must have offered him all of the things they did to change his life because of his potential. My understanding is he is doing chemical dependency treatment, mental health treatment, sex offender treatment and treatment for borderline personality disorder. And whoever WOW is, get over it cause you dont have a clue. Maybe you are a sexual predator since you seem to know so much about the subject. In this day and age how do you know that she didnt have an agenda? Come back to reality because in alot of cases 16 is the legal age of consent in Minnesota. This isnt the 50’s anymore. Sex is a problem at alot younger age now. A 16 year old is expected to make responsible decisions behind the wheel of a motor vehicle arent they? That to me is alot more dangerous and could lead to death. HMMMMMMMMM………?!

Just as a footnote. He wasn’t a teacher of any sort. Not a college graduate of any type. Just a guy who helped coach a team from a high school he himself graduated from. Not exactly a high caliber high school either. That should tell you something about both parties. Just two sad lifes that collided. Hopefully someone will learn from this. One can only hope. That at least would be an upside.

Wow, I am with you 100%. It matters not what any student - of ANY AGE OR GENDER - does, it is the teacher who is to be the responsible adult. They are required to be capable of defining and maintaining personal and professional boundaries. Can’t maintain those boundaries, get the hell out of teaching and seek the necessary professional mental health help.
