Guilty

Natalie Preston, 23, a former teacher at Bassett High School and an assistant band director at Magna Vista High School charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with a minor has entered a guilty plea in Henry County, Virginia to a lesser charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Preston received a 12-month suspended sentence, was fined $250 and prohibited from contacting the student until the student is 18-years-old.

Preston was placed on unpaid leave and resigned in October of last year after it was alleged that during September she had an inappropriate relationship with a student who was 16 and attending Magna Vista High School at the time.
