Nahm Thai

Nahm Thai, 26, a substitute teacher for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada has been arrested on federal charges of possession, receipt and distribution of child pornography.

Nahm Thai was arrested on Monday and charged with two counts of transporting child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

It is alleged that Thai exchanged more than 4,800 pictures with a Virginia resident between January 2007 and January 2008 and that most of the files exchanged using Google’s “Hello” program contained child pornography.

It is alleged that when federal agents serached Thai’s home they found computers and equipment containing several hundred images and videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

In addition to being a substitute teacher Thai is also reportedly a senior majoring in education at UNLV.

If convicted Thai faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
