Michael Gregory Miles, 22, a former officer with the Oak Hill, Florida Police Department and a former volunteer teacher at Private Discovery Academy in Edgewater, Florida has been accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy.
Miles was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious acts and sexual battery on allegations that he befriended the then 14-year-old male student and had off-campus sexual encounters with him.
It is alleged that Miles told police that he and the student met while the teen was attending the Discovery Academy, a private pre-K through eighth-grade school, reportedly owned by a Miles relative.
According to a police report filed in the case, Miles indicated that the boy and he both expressed curiosity about having sexual contact with “another guy” and that Miles claimed he had been molested by an uncle as a child.
Edgewater investigators say that the sexual relationship started at the school last year after Miles had resigned as a police officer in Oak Hill.
Reportedly, Miles came to the attention of police when the boy revealed the alleged sexual relationship to fellow students at his current school.
Following his arrest, Miles was being held on $50,000 bail.

I graduated with his brother, and its odd to see such a screwed up person come from such a good upstanding family. It is a shame though, he probably WAS molested by an uncle (not that that is an excuse for his actions).

I’m not saying what he did is right, but don you think being hung is a bit extreme? Don’t get me wrong, even if I wasn’t his cousin I’d be embarrassed… But still, hanging is a little much..
This is really sick coming from a small, well kept community. This guy shoud be hung for embarrassing his entire family. Sick minded dude. Lock him away for ever.
