Michael Lehman Gaylor, 41, a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland, Colorado has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
Police say that the alleged assault was not related to a school function and the alleged victim does not attend Walt Clark Middle School.
Reportedly Gaylor was arrested on allegations involving a class-four felony charge of sexual assault and a misdemeanor charge for having sex with someone at least 10 years younger.
Gaylor came to the attention of authorities by way of a call from the alleged victim reporting the alleged assault which is said to have occurred last month.
Following his arrest, Gaylor was held on $25,000 bond.
12/21/07 – Contact With Daughter Granted
Larimer County District Court Judge James Hiatt today allowed Michael Gaylor nearly full contact with his 14-year-old daughter.
Gaylor, free on $25,000 bond was prohibited from contact with anyone younger than 18 years.
Under the new condition, Gaylor will be permitted contact with his daughter provided another adult is present.
1/17/08 – Additional Charges
Prosecutors filed two additional counts of unlawful sexual contact against Michael Gaylor today.
The DA’s office refused to identify the school of the latest alleged victim.
3/13/08 – Guilty Plea
Today Michael Gaylor pleaded guilty to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, a class 4 felony, and sexual assault with a 10-year age difference, a class 1 misdemeanor.
At sentencing Gaylor faces from six to 12 months in jail and 10 years in sex offender intensive supervision.
05/27/08 – Sentencing
Michael Gaylor has been sentenced to 12 months in jail.
Gaylor was also sentenced to 10 years of sexual offender intensive supervised probation.
Following the sentencing hearing Gaylor was taken directly to jail to begin serving his sentence.

there’s another michael gaylor, now living in pennsylvania, who used to be a psychiatrist who had an intimate relationship with his patient. His license was suspended only for a year.

He is a history teacher. To discourage compassion for others is not admirable. He is a good teacher who MAY have made a bad choice but if I were you I would look over your shoulder and duck. Your day to be judged is coming.
I guess he was not too good of a teacher, or you were not paying attention in school during grammer class. He has been arrested for a reason. The police don’t arrest people without probable cause. The truth will come out at the end. More than likely, he will take a plea for some kind of charge. In my book, that means he is GUILTY. We will see.
i hate this, im one of mr gaylors students and i no that is not like him. if he did it he must have drunk or something. i pray for him an all hes going through. i really liked hem as a teacher but i guess BANGING is his thing. i hate it so much!
