Michael G. Stevens, 42, a physics teacher, track coach and football coach at Fredericksburg High School in Fredericksburg, Texas has reportedly been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Reportedly, Stevens surrendered at police headquarters this afternoon on a complaint that alleged he had sexual intercourse on more than one occasion with the female student.

Stevens has reportedly been charged with improper relationship between and educator and a student and is being held in the Gillespie County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Stevens came to the attention of authorities when students notified a campus police officer of the alleged relationship on Tuesday.

Stevens, who has been with the Fredericksburg Independent School District since 1995, was suspended on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Stevens’ wife is the principal at Fredericksburg Middle School.

    He was my freshman teacher and I had his wife as a teacher as well. She is an amazing woman who does not deserve this. The girl who he supposedly slept with has been kicked out of a ton of clubs because she was acting like a skank. She is not even getting in trouble! I am just sick because of this. Coach should have been more responsible…his daughter goes to the school!

    I love how people think that there is a 42 year old, married man allegedly having sex with a 17 year old student and they think she is to blame. This baffles me… she could be the fastest girl this side of the Mississippi and it is not okay!

    I never thought of Coach Stevens being that way-I feel for Mrs. Stevens, she’s a really good person.My thoughts and prayers are for her.Emily Rowland

    i had him as a teacher and i thought he was the nicest man. i am still shocked about all this. i never expected this from him. now on the other hand, the girl i can see it coming from. (Deleted by site moderator)
