Melvina Strickland-Terry, 35, a former teacher at Willowridge High School in Houston, Texas has been indicted by a Brazoria County grand jury on charges of indecency with a child, sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and student.

The indictment alleges that Strickland-Terry had inappropriate sexual relationships with two male students who were both under 17-years-old and that the incidents occurred in her apartment which is in Brazoria County.
Strickland-Terry came to the attention of authorities in March when police from the Fort Bend Independent School District contacted the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office with allegations against the teacher.
Yesterday Strickland-Terry was arraigned and her bail was set at $75,000.
If convicted of all charges Strickland-Terry could face up to 20 years in prison.
Strickland-Terry resigned from the school system when the allegations surfaced in March.
