Melissa Beth Williams, 41, a teacher at Huntington Pride School in Huntington, Texas turned herself in after being accused of having sexual contact with a 17 year old male student.
Williams came to the attention of authorities by way of a tip from Child Protective Services after the alleged victim’s mother contacted CPS.
Williams is charged with improper relationship between an educator and student. Williams turned herself in at the Angelina County Jail and was subsequently released on $25,000 bond.
Williams resigned from the school district on Wednesday.
Reportedly Williams is married with four children, three of whom are in the school district.
06/19/08 – Grand Jury Indictment
Melissa Williams has been indicted by a grand jury on a charge of improper relationship between an educator and student.
Williams remains free on $25,000 bond.
Melissa Williams Accepts Plea Bargain
Melissa Williams today accepted a plea bargain that includes a 10-year prison sentence.
Reportedly she will be eligible for probation after serving 180 days of her prison sentence.

I think she is just another sad and pathetic woman that would rather molest a boy than deal with an adult man. I think there might be more to her resigning in 1993. They should invistigate and see what was the exact cause for that.
