Megan Kastner, 25, a former teacher at Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas has been arrested on accusations she had an improper relationship with a student.
Following her arrest Kastner was being held in the Fort Bend County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
According to school officials, Kastner was fired last week after she allegedly confessed to having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Kastner was in her first year in with the school and reportedly in only her second year as a teacher.

and also, If shes seen around town all over high school football players maybe things have changed. God knows her father was hard on her and kept her on a short leash, maybe that’s why no one really saw this side of Megan before. People change as they get older, hopefully everyone does some growing up after high school anyways. She was a teacher, she was supposed to know the boundaries whether or not this kid was 18. Yes they are both at fault but she could have kept it from going this far. And back to my comment about draping herself on high school football players, if you know anything about Sinton High School, you know she may have learned it from countless coaches and teachers from there. And I know all you Sinton people are going to get mad and complain about this, but you know its true, half the faculty it seems were doing the same thing with students, but they almost never got caught.
Sad thing is I know her and her family very well, The reason I know them well… well I don’t want to say because honestly its an embarrassment for me and always has been. And I can bring up Beth’s name if I want. She was an amazing person and her loss to our family was devastating… you want to open your mouth about things you dont understand be my guest, but dont try to bash me because of the things you dont understand.
Lets not confuse “charged with” and “guilty of.” Noone knows the whole story except Megan. She made a very very bad mistake/choice, and will have to suffer the consequences but those that know her BEST know that this is not who Megan is. We all make mistakes, Megan just made a VERY serious one. I am not saying that what she did wasn’t wrong, or isn’t guilty, it is very very wrong, but I love her unconditionally. When something as tragic as this happens, you would expect complete strangers to blast the girl’s character, but Nicole, I can guarantee that you do not REALLY know her, or her family. Everyone has character flaws, and NOONE was suggesting that she should “get off” because of her personal achievements.
How dare you bring up Beth’s name. Other than her family, noone knows the WHOLE story of what they have been through. Don’t look stupid and comment on things you know nothing about.
Beth made a very bad choice in doing what she did. And I don’t justify what she did was right. But, he was 18 and he also knew better. Who doesn’t make bad choices in a lifetime. A lot of people have ghosts in there closets. Hopefully her father will come through for her. My favorite quote is when they are talking about you, they are letting somebody else rest. All of you that think you know her, should have seen her draping herself on any young buck on the football team in the parking lot everyday after school. This was coming it was just a matter of time. She was warned by numerous people to stop consorting with the students in the manner that she did. No sympathy here at all, because if a male teacher would have done something like this then he would have had a million dollar bail and would have gotten the book thrown at him. I hope she does 10 years, but I am sure she will get two years probation and her certification revoked. That will be the extent of it. In addition the clubs she frequented were meat markets where she was repeated wore out on a regular basis.
megan is a wonderful person and like the other people who have comments..she is a wonderful person and i love her very much…i support her 100 percent…she made a mistake and it was unfortunate….the little (Expletive deleted by site moderator) boy in that highschool is just as fault as her and he knows it…and for those who are making stupid (Expletive deleted by site moderator) comments on here you need to find something better to do! MEGAN I LOVE YOU AND IM HERE FOR YOU..and if her DAD does not back her up it will be completely shameful ..she really needs her mom right now
I knew her and I think shes always had screws loose, (Deleted by site moderator)… maybe if Beth was still around Megan would have turned out to be a better person. But of course plenty of people in Sinton are going to defend her because of who her family was or the fact she was popular, but those of us that know the other side of her know better. I think she deserves whatever punishment she gets for this crime because it was crime she committed and she even admitted it. People that commit crimes don’t deserve to be given leniency just because they played sports and were an “awesome” person in high school. People change and some people just get older and finally start to show their true colors. You do the crime, you deserve to serve the time…. that’s all there is to it.

think you should lay off. i know this person and this is totally out of the norm…. completely. there has to be something there to explain what happened. i’m defending her to the bitter end cause shes a great person and this is just a character flub. i can’t even explain it, but she doesn’t deserve to be trash talked. you don’t know the circumstances that were present with just the two. people are known to make bad choices… she knows, we all know that this is going to sting her and is going to follow her now… that doesn’t mean though that shes still not a great person. i still and always will consider her a great friend.
What does it really matter if there are a bunch of mexicans at the school she taught at? racist much? Anyways, this is a total shock for us that knew her, she was brought up in a good family and I even looked up to her as a softball player! people make mistakes, but I do not think she should any easier than a male, I just wish her the best of luck, especially if she is indicted.

I went to school with her and wow this is a total shock from everyone of us here in Sinton where she went to school at. She was a good friend, great at sports just not sure what happened to her. I wish her luck but do not hope she gets off easy for being a female instead of a guy.
She taught special ed at LAMAR CONSOLIDATED high school. There’s a difference between LCHS and Lamar HS. LHS has class. LCHS is just a bunch of Mexicans.
