(3/24/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Lisa Robyn Marinelli, 40, a substitute teacher at Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, Florida has been arrested and charged with unlawful sex with a minor.
Marinelli is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student. It is further alleged that the boy’s father told investigators that he saw his son “holding his pants together and putting them back in place” after exiting Marinelli’s vehicle late last month.
Marinelli is further accused of giving the 17-year-old boy a pair of her underwear as a memento of their sexual relationship.
Reportedly investigators have evidence of numerous text messages and phone calls between the two including one in which the boy allegedly text messages Marinelli, “How about a quickie tomorrow afternoon?” and to which the teacher allegedly replied, “real men only need 20 minutes”.
The sexual relationship is alleged to have started in January when the boy was 16.
Bond for Marinelli has been set at $20,000.
3/25/08 – Additional Info Released
Documents released by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office indicate that Lisa Marinelli was initially interested in having the 17-year-old boy with who she allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship date her 15-year-old daughter. Marinelli allegedly told him he was “on the list” of potential suitors for her daughter.
Marinelli was fired nearly a month ago when Pasco County School District officials first learned of the accusations against her.
The sheriff’s office also released a sample of text messages found on the teen’s cell phone and which were allegedly written by Marinelli:
* “Ur car looks awesome! Al u need is a hot milf sittin next to u and ud really b in business 
”
* “How about a quickie 2 morrow afternoon ”
* “U can meet me at home at 3. Real men only need 20 min! We will be along cause there is a field trip”
Jail records indicate that Marinelli was released from jail late last night on $20,000 bond.
4/02/08 – Marinelli Home Searched
Last Friday Pasco County deputies served a search warrant and searched the home of Lisa Marinelli.
Reportedly underwear, condoms, a purse, a phone bill and notes were among the items taken from Marinelli’s home.
Investigators intend to do DNA testing on some of the seized items.
04/29/08 – Not Guilty Plea
Lisa Robyn Marinelli entered a written plea of not guilty this morning.
09/18/08 – Trial Date Set
A December 1st trial date has been set for Lisa Marinelli on a charge of unlawful sex with a minor.
The judge granted a motion from the prosecution to compel Marinelli to provide a DNA sample.
Marinelli was taken to a back room by a detective and other witnesses looking on to do a swab of cells from her inside cheek.
The DNA will be compared to that found on a pair of undergarments which the boy allegedly got from Marinelli.
Marinelli could face 15 years in prison if convicted.
04/17/09 – Guilty Plea
Lisa Marinelli has reportedly pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a minor.
In a deal between defense and prosecution, both sides agreed to a stringent probationary sentence that includes a year of house arrest, four years of sex offender probation and no contact with children under 18 without supervision.
In addition, Marinelli will have to register as a sex offender, undergo testing for sexually transmitted diseases and complete sex offender treatment.

Allowing an adult to have sex with children teaches the victim/the child that this is okay. It “normalizes” adult-child sex. Then, when an adult male victim/child becomes the age of his abuser (let say, 40) he begins to look around for a 14, 15, 16, 17 year old girl to have sex with because that’s what he was taught – moreover, not just taught, but its what he actually did. And as well all know, this (allowing grown men to have sex with 14-15-16-17 year old girls) will never be tolerated. So, when your 15 year old son is seduced by a 40 year old “MILF” that bitch just out your boy at risk for becoming a sexual predator when he hits forty. Not cool.
So when it comes to having sex these 17 year old’s are mature enough,know what they are doing,understand the consequences of their actions.Then when it is time to be a man and face the consequences of your action’s suddenly they are little boy’s who would be to traumatized to stand up in a court of law and tell the truth.
You are horrified because u think its terrible for a woman your age 2 b considering your sons for sex. If you have manly sons, and they appear to be willing and able to get the job done, then they will be propositioned by older females. It just sometimes, those female are much older than they are. On the other hand, if their are no real women checking out your sons then maybe he is just too girly himself. Older females, teachers, friend’s mother, aunts, step-moms have been chasing boys young ever since…. who knows when? Its not gonna stop.

As a thirty-something-year-old teacher of teen boys, I am horrified that a woman my age could look at a kid and think of having sex with him. Every time I hear one of these stories, I look at my students the next day, and realize that it was another child of the same age that some adult abused. Sure, kids have crushes on their teachers – it’s part of growing up. But there’s a big difference between acknowledging the fantasies amongst adults, and an adult actually taking advantage of a minor. We adults have the experience to know what is appropriate, and what constitutes the exploitation of a position of influence. (Would commentors like “predator” and “peter” say the same about an adult male providing these same services to teen girls? Guys, I hope you don’t have daughters, if you would.)
When I was 15 or older, I was dreaming of doing all the cute female teachers in high school, I only missed a few occasions by very little. Now I am 45 and still remember fondly those close encounters, so I agree with predator and I could ad that these kind of teachers should be commended not put in prison. What kind of parent (father) would have something to object? Kids are doing it anyway in schools, behind the schools, eveywhere they can like rabbits.
I mean, she did nothing but having sex with a boy wo obviously was not biased against having sex.

ONCE AGAIN – Lisa Marinelli is GUILTY. She couldn’t get enough of boy sex. The evidence is overwhelming against her. Her Husband is an IDIOT if he hasn’t kicked her cheating (***) onto the street.

Hey Nope, you are totally correct. As I see it, if this is true they each had needs that the other could take care of. How great is that and no one got hurt until it was made public. They had a good thing going. I only wish it was me instead of the other guy because I know how to keep my mouth shut. But maybe this is all made up and none of this happened. Maybe the kid just bragged and it got out of control so he had to stick with his story to save face. Maybe the daughter set her mom up and texed the guy with her mother’s phone to get her out of the way for whatever reason. Stanger things have happened and there are many possibilities.
usedtobelieve… You obviously were not a male minor yourself and should not be commenting in “our” place. This kid was 17 years old, my age, we are not children. The vast majority of teenage males would love to have sex with any decent or hot teacher.
