Leslie Letsinger, 46, of Hull, Texas, a former West Hardin ISD coach has been indicted on two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact and two counts of having an improper relationship between educator and student.
The Silsbee Bee reports that Letsinger
was indicted by the Hardin County Grand Jury after investigators turned in their reports regarding two incidences that are said to have occurred in 2006. He turned himself in on July 15 and was held in the Hardin County jail until he posted four separate bonds of $2.500 on each count.
It is alleged that Letsinger touched the breasts of a female student-athlete after Letsinger offered to massage her shoulders while the girl, a power-lifter, was working out. Reportedly the girl informed her mother of the incident and the girl’s mother called authorities.
In the wake of the first incident being reported, a second female student, a softball player, came forward to report a similar incident in which a shoulder massage administered by Letsinger allegedly involved him touching the girl’s breasts.
If convicted of the charges Letsinger could face a sentencing range from probation to 20 years in prison.
