We have a criminal justice system where people are innocent until proven guilty. That is understood. However, if these allegations are true, this woman is guilty of a truly heinous crime. This was not ok in any sense of the word. She betrayed an entire community of students who trusted her as their teacher. She further betrayed the student in question and if it is true, she is a sick woman. She may be in need of prayers but those who are defending her for the good she did in the drama department need to wake up and not look to this woman as any kind of role model. She was not a good or decent teacher if she were able to act out with a student in such a way. Please, please do not allow her to become some sort of martyr. There are many adults/teachers/role models who are able to do wonderful things and also not commit crimes against underage children while doing them.
