Not Guilty

(05/26/07 - Initial BBT Report)

Kyle M. Hite, a 25-year-old teacher’s aide at Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona has been arrested on allegations of 12 counts of sexual abuse for touching the breasts of a 16-year-old female student on numerous occasions and without her consent.

The victim told police that she believed that the first time he brushed his hand across her breast was accidental and that when she complained to Hite the second time he touched her he told her to “knock off her attitude”. The victim claims that Hite touched her breasts practically every day from that point onward.

According to Mesa police, Hite admitted touching the girl’s breasts on numerous occasions and stated that he thought the victim found him attractive.

The girl reported Hite’s actions to an assistant principal, who immediately reported it to the school resource officer, who is a Mesa police officer.

Following his arrest Hite was released on his own recognizance after spending a night in jail.

06/05/07 - Grand Jury Indictment

Kyle M. Hite has been indicted by a Maricopa County grand jury on three counts of sexual abuse.

Hite was originally arrested on 12 allegations of sexual abuse for touching the breasts of a then 15-year-old female student on numerous occasions, however the grand jury saw fit to indict on just three of those original allegations.

According to Mesa police, Hite admitted touching the girl’s breasts on numerous occasions and stated that he thought the victim found him attractive.

Hite is free on his own recognizance.

08/26/08 - Not Guilty

Kyle M. Hite was found not guilty of three counts of sexual abuse Tuesday by a Maricopa County Superior Court jury.

Of the not guilty verdict, Hite’s attorney said “The key was the lack of evidence”.

    WTF! He admits to the police that he touched the girl’s boobs on numerous occasions and he isfound not guilty? The jury must have been made up of a bunch of purbs or the DA is a total idiot, of maybe a little of both.
