Kirk G. Chism, 39, a teacher and coach at Trimble County High School in Bedford, Kentucky has been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Reportedly, Chism of Madison, Indiana is charged with 3 counts of child seduction in Jefferson County, Indiana and is under investigation for alleged sex crimes that had occurred in Trimble County, Kentucky.

Chism, who had his initial hearing in Jefferson Superior Court in Madison earlier today, is reportedly free on bail.

In April, investigators from the Kentucky State Police Post in Campbellsburg made contact with Indiana State Police investigators regarding regarding Chism and alleged sex crimes that had occurred in Trimble County, Kentucky. During their investigation they discovered that Chism was believed to have committed similar crimes with the same victim in Jefferson County, Indiana.

Chism, who was previously an assistant coach, was designated as the head football coach at Trimbel County High School earlier this year.

03/02/10 – Guilty Plea In Kentucky

Kirk Chism, who was indicted last June on three charges of first-degree sexual assault for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student, has pleaded guilty to one charge in Trimble County, Kentucky.

Under the plea deal, two of the three charges were dismissed, Chism was sentenced to one year in jail and required to register as a sex offender in Kentucky for 20 years.

Chism faces three charges of child seduction in Jefferson County, Indiana and is scheduled for trial in Superior Court on April 15.

    This man was to be trusted with our children he broke that trust hope he gets much more time in indiana 17 is still a child this sick man deserves no support

    Mr Chism was my teacher, my coach, and my friend, and will always be our hero. We miss him, we all make mistakes.

    Personally,I never thought he would do that. Now we all know he likes little girls. I feel sorry for his family! I wonder what he did to his kids….
