(07/11/08 - Initial BBT Report)
Kevin Devahl Samuel, 46, a math teacher at The High School Ahead Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina has been arrested and charged with soliciting a child by computer.

Samuel was arrested as the result of an Internet sting conducted by the Guilford County Sheriff’s department in which a detective posed on-line as a 13 or 14-year-old girl. It is alleged that Samuel solicited the “girl” for sex.
Purportedly Samuel, during an on-line conversation told the “girl”, “Be careful of perverts. A lot of older guys would love to get a hold of you”.
Samuel, who was arrested Thursday, was being held Friday morning in the Greensboro Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
He is one of three North Carolina teachers arrested during the last few days as a result of the Internet sting operated by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. The other two are David Frank Pace and David Brian Seus.

I knew this man personally. He was a special education teacher at my son’s school last year. He was also in charge of writing his IEP. I met with this man many times and it truly disgusts me to think that we have teachers in our schools that pretend to care about the educational needs of our children when they are exploiting children at the same time!!
