Kevin David Jones, 47, the transportation director for the Sibley East School District in Sibley County, Minnesota has been charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

It is alleged that Jones engaged in sexual activity with the girl on numerous occasions and that in 2007 that Jones and the student had sex on a school bus in the Arlington garage, at his office in the garage, and twice in his own home.
The alleged victim told officials she and Jones had dozens of sexual encounters in the garage and at the County Fair Grounds as well as in Jones’ daughter’s bedroom.
Reportedly when the girl was 15-years-old her parents became aware of the relationship and filed for a restraining order against Jones. However at the time of the trial, both the victim and Jones claimed there was no inappropriate behavior occurring. Reportedly the girl admitted to investigators that she lied.
Jones came to the attention of authorities when the Sibley County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an ongoing sexual relationship between a school official and a student on Sept. 29 and began its investigation.
Reportedly Jones has been suspended with pay by the school system although one report, that from My Fox Twin Cities refers to Jones as the “former transportation director”.

Reportedly following his arrest Jones was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Later reports indicate that he was released on $5,000 bail.
